Newcastle are dropping like a stone. A lot of people said many of their players were just having good spells. Is this the case and they're getting found out?
I would love Ben Arfa but i don't see it happening.
Good point, and I certainly feel that way about some of their other players (e.g. Demba Ba) but every time I've seen Ben Arfa, he's looked the real deal, and could be exactly what we're missing.
Not with our history of Newcastle purchases.
Why not Lucas? Because Newcastle wouldn't sell or because he wouldn't come?
They'd probably want 50m for him....
I've wanted him to come for ages... Carroll + 10m
Would a part exchange with Carroll make him affordable? I suggested Carroll + 10m but I'm not sure how serious Newcastle are about re-signing him.
Carroll + £10m would work well for all concerned.
He could go to a much better team than us, end of, and also, why would Newcastle sell, and why would he join?
Because we could pay him lots of money.
Difference between 'Could' and 'Would'. And I'm sure there are better teams than us interested in him.
Carroll + £10m would work well for all concerned.
Except Newcastle. We already have a donkey who doesn't score. 2 actually. As for us not doing too well this year mixture of injuries. Not sure why someone mentioned Ba he's second top scorer in the league. Cabaye, Tiote and Coloccini have missed more than half our games. Squad players injured too. Basically fate has bitten for Ashley being a stingy in the summer.
Whose the 'Donkey who can't score' Andy
Andy Carroll is meant for Newcastle. The Mojo is strong in this one only at the Toon.
I would ask for Santon and Arfa in exchange.

as well ast £30m and you'll still need more. Our 2 best players this year!
Is Ben Arfa actually that good?
Sure he has bags of ability, but how often does he actually show it?
What is his return of goals and assists?
He strikes me as a player like Taarabt, loads of ability, wrong attitude.
Andy
Agreed, especially with Santon, he is the real deal in the modern style of the game.
We will give you Enrique back and call it quits.
Is Ben Arfa actually that good?
Better.
Sure he has bags of ability, but how often does he actually show it?
Every game be it throughout the whole game or just a flash of brilliance like against you
What is his return of goals and assists?
Dno. Not helped by our play though
As for his attitude he's been managed right and is one of the hardest workers on the team. Comparing him to Taarabt is an insult to his ability. Please apologise.
ARE he's been the only consistent player we've had this year. He's learnt to defend. It's funny he looks so uncomfortable at rb but great at lb. Just needs to work on his decision making, often overruns the ball. Once he's sorted that out he'll be great.
Andy
I have a soft spot for the Toon and always have, Santon has gone to the right club in my opinion, and Arfa seems very loyal after the club backed him during his injury problems.
Enrique will become a cult hero at Anfield I think, he's like a raging bull!
AC looks lost to me in London, he's pining for a bottle of the dog with his mates up North.
Santon has been able to develop better here than in Italy under the whole 'new Maldini' comparison people gave him when he burst onto the scene. Had a patchy season last year but has been great this. Back in the Italy squad too! As for Ben Arfa I agree he is loyal but I think that is as long as we're competitive within the league. I'd hate to see him leave he's the most talented player we've had since Beardsley I think. s for AC he has Nolan! Think West Ham is a good fit for him. Don't think he's any more than a mid table player really.
