Mcleish would be a good appointment
Make sure there's room for that soft sod Bothroyd in the boot
Totally agree, had it all at the beginning of the season - a bit of money, fans backing etc etc and has completely blown it. As you mention, neither Laws or Irvine had any sort of financial backing to compare with DJ.
Sadly, without Burton, be has proved totally incapable of taking us forwards. He has loaded the club with a right load of sheeiite and we are in real danger of getting relegated again. Can't describe what a massive let down he has been this term and on the basis of this season, comfortably one of the worst I have seen the Hillsborough hot seat. I think he will get the Cardiff game but surely not any longer .
All so disappointing
I have just got home. I travel from Coventry to every home match. I really wish I hadn't bothered. The petrol costs me a fortune.
What I saw tonight wasn't even worthy of a £2 bus fair. It's simple, dave jones has not got a clue what he is doing. I totally agree that it is evident that burton was the brains behind the operation and without him dave jones is totally useless.
This has proved one thing. Dave jones was very lucky to take over a team built for promotion by Gary megson. Dave jones didn't get us up last year, Gary megson did and Antonio did. Antonio was the difference and he was megson a last master stroke. Had megson not got Antonio to replace Marshall, we would be seeing the blunts in our position right now.
Tonight was beyond a disgrace, a joke etc. I don't want to talk about the game.
Jones out!
. . .Can't disagree with any of the above. The interview Dave Jones gave to Radio Sheffield was cringeworthy, he's lost the plot.
I'd like to know what's going through MM's head. Is he waiting till we go bottom? Please don't tell me we've got second lowest playing budget in this league cos I don't believe it! I've got to agree with the comments about DJ being given it on a plate and fouling it up. Confidence is shot, we don't have time for a re-build. Come on Dave, put your hands up and walk, we'll all think more of you if you do.
I thought he was going to cry.he seems to want to pass blame onto the players. I agree that there is a responsibility duty that those players have to step up to but the reason we are so bad isn't because of some bad passing, poor shots etc. we are so bad due to lack of organisation, team work, tactics, togetherness and knowing where to be in all situations. There's no confidence and no desire. I'm sorry jones, but everything that is wrong with that team is down to you mate and your inability to 1) pick a team 2) player that team effectively and 3) get anywhere near the best out of any of them.
You might say I'm wrong, you might say he's too risky but for me it's jones out! Di canio in!
We need to take a risk instead of these 'safe' options which inevitably fail anyway.
I thought he'd lost the plot a couple of weeks ago when he was clearly stumbling from Italian restaurant to Italian restaurant trying to bump into Mandaric. He looked a beaten man then.
And he looked like he was going to cry.
Lost the plot and he has to go. Something has to change. Would love to see MM go after Di Matteo but highly unlikely.
If its Paul Ince, I'll cry
What...a...fu ckin...DISGRACE!!!!
DJ, if your reading this (which you probably wont be), if you had any ounce of love & respect for this wonderful club and its wonderful fans you would hold your hands up and say "Ive failed and i'll leave"!! But no doubt you'll continue with your deludedness and keep faith with a 32 year old crock who has only played 2 games in 2-3 years and a 30 year old "big i am" you dosnt give a f u ck about us when there are hungrier players like Madine who wasnt even on the bench (not sure if he is injured).
Sorry mate but you have cocked up more than what Irvine did. GO NOW!!!
Its funny the best manager we have had for 20+ years since Big Ron only lasted a year, should have kept him. Although doubtful but I hope Megson will return soon and finish what he had started!!
I remember saying a few weeks ago that I thought Dave Jones was a better manager than Simon Grayson
He's only better than Larry Grayson (and not by much) I fear Poite.
