A woman has been reunited with her pet cat 11 years after reporting her missing.

Daisy the cat failed to return home soon after moving to the Caerphilly area from Dorset with her owner, Sian Sexton, in 2012.

But last week, Ms Sexton received a surprise phone call from a Caerphilly vet who said a cat microchipped to her had been brought into the clinic.

"I'm still in shock," the 43-year-old said.

Ms Sexton, who has since moved to Rhydyfelin, Rhondda Cyon Taf, said she discovered Daisy had been living as a stray in Caerphilly for more than a decade.

She was taken to the vet by locals who were concerned about her health.

Daisy was "totally matted" and had cat flu, Ms Sexton said.

"She was sneezing and wheezing, and they [the people who brought her in] didn't think she would survive another winter being outside," she added.

At 17 years old, the same age as her sister Dory who is still owned by Ms Sexton, Daisy is responding well to medication.

"She's survived all this time and now in her final days she finally comes back to us," she said.

"Hopefully she can live out the rest of her days with us," she added.

Once Daisy is well enough she will be reunited with her sister and introduced to the two other cats in the household, Tillie and Sparkle.

"It will be really interesting to introduce them again. I wonder if they will recognise each other," Ms Sexton said.

She described Daisy as "very loving" and wanting lots of attention, despite living as a feral cat for so many years.

Ms Sexton and her husband will be moving to Bridgend soon, meaning Daisy "might have to be a house cat" from now on, she laughed.

"I don't want her to go missing again," she said.

If either Japan or Samoa win both of their remaining matches with bonus points, they will go through to the last eight. Anything fewer opens the door for Argentina.

Should Samoa and Argentina end up tied for second spot on the same number of points, the Pumas will finish higher in the group.

Chile have already been eliminated.

At least 100 people have died and 150 others are injured after a fire broke out during a wedding in Iraq's biggest Christian town.

Hundreds were celebrating in a banqueting hall in Qaraqosh in Nineveh province when it happened.

It is not known what started the fire but some reports suggest fireworks set it off.

Flammable panels fuelled the flames, causing parts of the ceiling to catch fire and fall, fire officials said.

"The fire led to the collapse of parts of the hall as a result of the use of highly flammable, low-cost building materials that collapse within minutes when fire breaks out," Iraq's civil defence directorate said, quoted by state news agency INA.

It was not immediately clear if the bride and the groom were among the victims.

Footage posted online showed the couple on the dance floor before flaming chunks begin falling onto the dance floor.

Firefighters could be seen climbing over the wreckage of the building in search of survivors on Wednesday morning.

Eyewitnesses said hundreds of people had been in the venue when it caught fire at around 22:45 local time (19:45 GMT) on Tuesday.

"We saw the fire pulsating, coming out of the hall. Those who managed got out and those who didn't got stuck. Even those who made their way out were broken," Imad Yohana, a 34-year-old who escaped the inferno, told Reuters.

Another wedding guest, Rania Waad, who sustained a burn to her hand, said that as the bride and groom were slow dancing "fireworks started to climb to the ceiling, the whole hall went up in flames".

"We couldn't see anything," the 17-year-old told news agency AFP. "We were suffocating, we didn't know how to get out."

Another survivor said several members of his family were among the victims.

"When it [the fire] happened my mother was in the bathroom," he said.

"I couldn't find her after. I searched for my daughter, my son, my wife, my father and I couldn't find them. They are gone."

Commander, the Biden family's two-year-old German Shepherd, has bitten yet another Secret Service agent.

The attack happened on Monday night and the officer was treated at the scene, the Secret Service said in a statement on Tuesday.

This is the 11th time the dog has bitten a guard at the White House or the Biden family home.

The White House press secretary has previously blamed the attacks on the stress of living at the White House.

"As you all know, the White House complex can be unique and very stressful. That is something I'm sure you can all understand," she said in July.

"It is unique and it is stressful for all of us. So you can imagine what it's like for a family pet or family pets, more broadly."

Commander is the younger of the Biden family's two German Shepherds. The other biting incidents occurred at the president and first lady's home in Delaware.

"Yesterday around 8pm, a Secret Service Uniformed Division police officer came in contact with a First Family pet and was bitten," said Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi.

He later told CNN that the injured officer spoke to Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle on Tuesday and is doing OK.

In July, White House officials said they were attempting new leashing and training techniques on Commander, following a rash of attacks on personnel.

Galatasaray forward Mauro Icardi recreated Thierry Henry and Robert Pires' infamous penalty miss in the Turkish Super Lig on Tuesday.

Icardi side-footed the ball wide after Kerem Akturkoglu played a short pass to the Argentine from the spot-kick.

That was despite having an open net to aim for as the Istanbulspor goalkeeper had already dived the wrong way.

Fans on social media compared it to Arsenal 'Invincibles' duo Henry and Pires' similar attempt in 2005.

The ball got stuck under Pires' feet as he tried to play a short pass for fellow Frenchman Henry against Manchester City at Highbury.

Former Barcelona pair Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi were successful in pulling off the same penalty trick against Celta Vigo in 2016, with Suarez sealing a hat-trick as Messi rolled his penalty kick to the right for the Uruguayan to slot in.

Despite being left red-faced from the miss, Icardi redeemed himself with a goal five minutes later as Galatasaray secured a 1-0 victory against Istanbulspor.

The win moves them to the top of the Super Lig, a point above Fenerbahce who have a game in hand.

Former Rangers striker Jim Forrest, the most prolific forward in the club's post-war history, has died at the age of 79.

Forrest, who played five times for Scotland, scored 145 goals in 163 games for his boyhood club.

He moved to Preston in 1967 but returned to Scotland with Aberdeen and helped them win the 1970 Scottish Cup.

Forrest joined Rangers as a schoolboy and displaced the legendary Jimmy Millar in the first team as a teenager.

The introduction to the team of the boy from Townhead along with Willie Henderson, John Greig and Jim Baxter formed a key part of Rangers' new era in the early 1960s.

Forrest scored 39 goals in his first full campaign at Ibrox and found the net four times in the 1963 League Cup success over Greenock Morton en route to a famous Treble.

He netted 57 times in the 1964-65 campaign, making his mark in another League Cup final by scoring twice against Celtic.

Forrest scored five times in a league game against Hamilton Academical in 1965 and broke the record for the most goals by a Rangers player in a League Cup match the following year with five in an 8-0 victory over Stirling Albion.

Forrest ended his career at San Antonio Thunder in the United States after spells in South Africa and Hong Kong.

More than half of staff at a hospital trust that has been under fire for its "toxic culture" have said they felt bullied or harassed.

The findings come from an independent review commissioned by University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB) NHS Trust.

It has been at the centre of NHS scrutiny after a culture of fear was uncovered in a BBC Newsnight investigation.

UHB has apologised for "unacceptable behaviours".

It added it was committed to changing the working environment.

The trust is one of the largest of its kind in England, responsible for the Queen Elizabeth (QE), Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull hospitals, as well as community services.

Of 2,884 respondents to a staff survey, 53% said they had felt bullied or harassed at work, while only 16% believed their concerns would be taken up by their employer.

Many said they were fearful to complain "as they believed it could worsen the situation," the review team found.

Uruguay beat Namibia in Lyon to record their first pool win at the Rugby World Cup and deny the African nation a first win in the competition.

Two early tries from Gerswin Mouton and JC Greyling, along with the boot of Tiaan Swanepoel, put Namibia in control at half-time.

Uruguay responded in the second half through tries by Baltazar Amaya, Santiago Arata and Bautista Basso.

Namibia prop Desiderius Sethie was then sent off to end any hope of history.

Uruguay came into the fixture as favourites after impressing against France to deny the hosts a bonus-point win before leading at half-time against Italy.

Namibia head coach Allister Coetzee rotated his squad for last week's meeting with France, which ended in a 96-0 defeat, to focus on claiming a first World Cup win for the nation on their 26th attempt in their final match at this year's tournament.

The strategy appeared to be working in the opening stages, with Mouton scoring an intercept try after just a minute. But four games in 18 days for Namibia began to take its toll in the second period, as two pieces of individual magic from full-back Amaya and Arata put Uruguay ahead for the first time.

The two scores came with prop Johan Coetzee in the sin bin, as discipline proved to be the African side's major downfall. Captain Tjiuee Uanivi was next to be yellow-carded before replacement Sethie saw his yellow card upgraded to a red for making direct head contact with an upright tackle.

The win is Uruguay's fourth in their World Cup history, with their final game of the pool against New Zealand next Thursday.

For Namibia, the wait for a first win at the tournament rolls on.

OpenAI, the Microsoft-backed creator of ChatGPT, has confirmed the chatbot can now browse the internet to provide users with current information.

The artificial intelligence-powered system was previously trained only using data up to September 2021.

The move means some premium users will be able to ask the chatbot questions about current affairs, and access news.

OpenAI said the feature would open up to all users soon.

Earlier in the week, OpenAI also revealed the chatbot will soon be able to have voice conversations with users.

ChatGPT and other similar systems use huge amounts of data to create convincing human-like responses to user queries.

They are expected to dramatically change the way people search for information online.
