"What relevance is last season?"
Was that not our bestest season ever under Arry ??
And if so, then to repeat that season we should strive to get the same sequence of results at the very least.

No, 2009/10 was our best season points-wise.
Again, I don't see the relevance of last season in the context of patchy form this season

If you don't understand the relevance of P11 W10 in the "context of patchy form" , perhaps you shouldn't be talking about "form" in any context.

"That's why we have had wildly see-sawing form of winless streaks and lossless streaks."
Better just to have one superb streak and one total collapse like last season.
------------
This was your original comment.
I honestly don't see the relevance to last season. You then said it was our 'bestest' season when it wasn't - 2009/10 was. Was it meant to be sarcastic? If so you are mistaken in thinking I wanted Harry to stay. Was it fact? You'd actually prefer a collapse?
What relevance does it have to my original post which you replied to (below):
"I'd accept a few less points at this stage and being a little unlucky with results if the home performances had been a lot better, because that would bode better for the remaining 11 home games and good luck doesn't go on forever. That's why we have had wildly see-sawing form of winless streaks and lossless streaks."

Because last season proves EXACTLY why a very good sequence doesn't "bode well" for anything re the "remaining" games.
As they say : past performance does not guarantee future performance.
So I and others would rather have the points in the bag now for mediocre performances, knowing that much better performance is possible in the future.
been busy in work so whats been going on here?not got the time to catch up......... Chicken? you starting trouble again?
But our form was patchy in our run last season too - we were very lucky to win some of those matches as we switched off for whole halves. That came home to roost in our bad run when luck deserted us (allayed to the Bale experiment) and we got punished for it.
Better to have consistent performances and be less reliant on luck to decide the games
HRH,
how many times have you heard a manager say after a game they'd take any sort of performance as long as they got 3 points. Fergie was lucky Utd didn't concede more to Reading, Chelsea were lucky to win the CL, i could list all sorts of examples.
I don't think we've had any more luck than anyone else, our performances have been patchy but who's haven't? We are in a transistional state with new players management and coaches and stripped of two of our best players and a raft of experienced squad members. Bearing in mind our usual competitors are experiencing similar problems and the rest of the PL clubs have improved, on the whole we're doing ok.
We are doing ok points-wise Spurgle, but it's relative because it's been a funny season so far.
Soon a few teams in the 3-10th bracket will start putting consistent points on the board - there are 8 teams so it's very likely two or three will put a very good run together.
We have to hope we are one of them. Home form (and points) will be vital for that. The home form has been disappointing overall with only one good performance so far.
if we let games be decided on all this luck we are getting then prehaps we would not of dropped 13 points from winning postitions and only gained 3 from losing postitions , the arguement that we are lucky does not stack up and even if we were we are damm well due some after last season ,

Where our form has been patchy, luck - good and bad - has been a big factor our results at home. We have been fortunate against QPR, Norwich and West Brom to get as many points as we did, and probably unlucky against Chelsea to get a hiding. We have looked out of sorts for all of them shape-wise which is the constant
