they canny be glory hunters becasue chelsea never win anything

Same could be asked of United when they've got a huge Northern support, just ignore it.

With current levels of televised football, intense media coverage and forums such as this so fans can talk to each other, it should be acceptable to support whoever you want, where ever they play.

A glory hunter is someone who changes teams to support the current best team, if you start supporting a winning team and then follow them all your life your hardly a glory hunter.

United have a large London following regardless. I'm sure people in Manchester are not calling eachother glory hunters.

Yet Man U, Liverpool London fans and bitter London rivals have the cheek to call Chelsea fans supporting a club in their city glory hunters.

Lets not forget Chelsea are the most central London club too.

I disagree to an extent Whitewall.

If you're from London, choose a London club.

If you're from Manchester, choose a Manc Club.

If your're from a county with no team, pick who ever you want.

It'll be hypocritical if a London United fan called a Chelsea fan a plastic, I agree. But regardless, United's northern support is still large and arguably higher than the southern support.

I'm a plastic, this is in defense of the REAL Chelsea fans out there. And there are many many many more real Chelsea fans than plastic ones like me.

Whitecar,

What about children who follow the same club as their dad's??

If a Manc living in london wants to bring his children up as City or United supporters then good luck to them.

People change jobs and locations all the time but supporting a club can run through a family for generations

People change jobs and locations all the time

Exactly, this applies to me. I only lived in Manchester for 3/4 years till my old man found a job down south and we moved.

Yea fair enough you are right. Can't argue that point.

But there are others who have thier own choice and ignore the London clubs to support United.

People can call me a glory hunter all they want.

I find it funny if anything as when I started supporting Chelsea we hadn´t won anything for about a quarter of a century.

I guess your a Londoner too so regardless when you supported Chelsea, you can't be a glory hunter.

I get called glory hunter all the time because I support Man Utd. I have supported the club since I was a boy because my brothers were supporters.

They also fail top take into account that Utd had won F' all when I started supporting them. Most of my mates at the time supported Liverpool because they were the dominant team.

Where you from Baz?

Most Chelsea fans are from Hounslow and Farnborough

coming from fulham, kings road, the thought of supporting arsenal or tottenham is as alien to me as utd or city. or liverpool or everton.

it is never going to happen.

posted on 7/12/12

geezer you cannot support arsenal, chelsea& fulham.

loyalties dont work like that.

its a bit plastic to say the least.

posted on 7/12/12

I know geezer, I'm a plastic. This article is not for me. Its for the real Chelsea fans if you read my posts.

That made in Chelsea guy Hugo Boss supports Arsenal.

your off your head , if you live in mile end, its unlikely youve got an oyster card and you certainly wont be entertaining the idea of supporting cfc.

Are you serious in rafa we trust????

If you are, you're a bad example for Chelsea fans on this site and in general. Just because you come from Kings road its unacceptable for anyone from another part of London to support Chelsea.

I think your the 2WAT and the kinda supporter rivals love to laugh at and thank for fuelling thier judgements.

posted on 7/12/12

No way can you be from kings road. Your post makes you sound like some silly cha-v from Harlow or Uxbridge.

If its serious then it confirms my judgement of you, if you are just messing about then its a really poor attempt at humour.

"If you live in mile end you haven't got an Oyster and can't support Chelsea?"

Deekhead if I ever saw one.

The trouble with in rafa we trustcfc, is his and age once he gets to secondry school he may grow up and understand that other people are entitled to air their views without him getting in a strop and abusing them.
