Well as he has only had the one good season at United....out of one season....How has he turned into Torres?

Plus, has Torres struggled to hit the net, how many has he got this season to put towards Chelsea's record goal haul?

Deluded, unlettered Gooners.

The most underwhelming 'march to the title' is almost over.

More like a slow shuffle across the winning line by the least arthritic geriatric in-patient in the annual 100 yard dash at the local council run sheltered accommodation unit. The winner is the only one who finally remembered what a zimmer frame could be used for. The other contenders just sat in their expensively acquired, top of the range mobility scooters going round in circles and not getting anywhere. Well done MUFC for such a titanic achievement.

Shame the zimmer frame wasn't as effective when taken abroad.........

How's life in mid table?

Don't be cruel must be a harsh realisation that he'll probably die before Liverpool can make up those 2 titles United are currently ahead

Shame the owner of the Zimmer frame has been in a coma since 1990

He may still have a point, long while yet until May

Agreed Thunderkiss, we could win the league today and SAF still regrets signing Van Persie

We're fighting tooth & nail for a nibble on any scraps that come our way.....

Enjoy your anti-climax tonight. Well deserved if the least mediocre is your benchmark - has been for a while now except last season. And we all know how that ended.

As I alluded to, the results in Europe have been the most telling over the last couple of seasons now.

Even myopic MUFCers must concur!!!

Your title winning season in context there for you!!!

Nothing sadder than being miles worse than an "underwhelming" team.

Aye RDBD! There's the rub. You finally get it!!!

Nothing sadder than thinking your team is anything other than underwhelming.

....

A nice big trophy, lovely job.

As a Spurs supporter I should be immensely concerned that my team is miles behind champions elect who are apparently "underwhelming" .

God knows what clubs who are similarly below the likes of Spurs are thinking.

A hollow victory Ruiney.

We'll probably get less money for winning the league and maybe a smaller trophy to show the competition was poor.

Doesn't feel hollow.

I'm sure if Liverpool won the league with ease after 22 years of not winning it, you would all be feeling it was a little hollow? No? Didn't think so.

The margin of victory for MUFC is a sad indictment of how far standards have fallen in the top flight of English football.

Not true? Look at how the European performances have dipped. Coincidence or proof of underlying decline?

The former in my opinion . But the blinkered and deluded will always be in denial of the facts.

There.

Winning a 20th title, taking it off local rivals at a canter. Doesn't feel very hollow

Your opinion became fact in two successive sentences.
Impressive.

It would be a concern if the universe depended on decent performances in the CL by every PL participant. Or that the PL was now equivalent to the Swiss league etc.

But it doesn't. And isn't.

If Spurs finish 4th, it will of course feel hollow as they'll just be 4th best of a poor bunch.

Not to the club bank balance it won't.

Monkey planet

Its only become 'underwhelming' in your eyes because its United winning the league. The standard of the PL hasn't dropped. Only peoples opinion has changed as they try to put some sort of negative spin on another United title winning season. Last season was much the same spin about the league being weaker - up until City overtook us to win the league - and then it became a fantastic achievement for city and thoroughly deserved. The opinion would have changed again no doubt had United won the league.
