Happy?

I for one am very happy with where we are, and how we are playing. We still need to ship out some players, and bring some in over the next two windows.

We should always bear in mind that what is obvious to fans is even more obvious to the manager.

Things will continue to improve

I see our team at the moment simply as a stop-gap, hastily put together to get us to January, anyone moaning about our form or SOD are not looking at the whole picture. The long term strategy is FAR MORE important than winning the next game or else...

Yes, I think where we were a year ago, and how going from a depleted squad a few weeks before the season started to one with players like Sharp and Cox up front and a manager who understands how the game should be played.

Well said, Forestlen.

Hopefully, the stop-gap won't be too long!

^Sorry, I meant Forest Al-Florist.

Happy? Yes. Just what I expected. I feel very positive.

I'm more than happy, especially when you factor everything in,no real pre-season,whole new back 4 etc etc etc.
I expected us to lose more games than we did over the first 10-15 games, whilst the team gelled.

I never expected the league to be as tight as it is this season,I expected better from the prem relegated teams and some of the stronger championship teams.

Some fans feel we should be doing better due to the quality of some of our signings, they don't seem to factor in that some joined us after the season started, some have never really featured due to injury,Geddy never really got into his stride and has missed games due to red cards.

Some fans need to look at the bigger picture and take everything into account before they start to get negative.

Before the season started, most fans would have settled for a comfortable top half finish and signs that the team could improve beyond that.

I felt more content after SoD's BBC interview than by Saturdays performance. We know our current squad isn't strong enough in certain areas and I was happy to hear SoD admit as much. At least he's not pretending that we're something we're not. I do think that he got it wrong against Hull, however, I can understand why he opted for the negative tactics given his obvious awareness of our weaknesses. Here's hoping he's able to address these areas in January.

The way the whole club is being run is a breath of fresh air, from the youth teams right up to the board. We're very much still a work in progress however, so to be knocking on the play offs door is fantastic!

We are exactly where we should be. Keeping the play off pack in sight coming into January.

If we have another influx of players, continue to build the squad whilst selling out of contract players / tieing them down to new deals and continuing as we are until the end of the season. I'd expect us to finish just outside the play offs but in the top 10.

If that happens, then maybe buy 1 or 2 more players in the summer and push next year. Whilst I wouldn't say no to being promoted, I certainly don't expect to be in the play offs this season, but I do not want to be too far outside.

Agree with that Rev. If only we'd signed him years ago when we first tried instead of relying on players like Tyson, McGoldrick, Agogo etc.

I disagree Rev, Sharp will sign based on current form. We don't need to get promoted or be in the play offs to sign him.

I'm not so sure about that. He may not be Prem quality but at this level there are very few better goal-scorers. If we remain at midtable club then he will definitely go somewhere else unless we are paying the most and he's only motivated by money.
