12 million is dirt cheap. We should have asked for 15-20 million at least.
Only 6 months left on his contract...
only 6 months left? Ok, 12 million makes sense.

For 6 months left on his contract it's decent money actually.
How do you lot see him doing at Liverpool?
I thought he had 18months on his contract?
I think he will do well.
He can be really greedy at times though. He will be frustrating.
I did expect Borini to do much better though.
6 months?!?! In that case, 12m is pretty expensive. We bought Kagawa for the same price and he had a year left. The talk is that Walcott would only leave for a few million if he goes in January.
*He will be frustrating occasionally
Might be 18 months.
Different sites say different things.
He'll be frustrating. Moments of brilliance. Moments not looking like a professional footballer
Actually I saw a definitive list of players whose contracts run out in summer and Sturridge wasn't on there.
Can't see Arsenal selling Walcott in January to be honest.
With regards to Borini he's been injured for months with a broken foot - hell he a fine player for us in time.

We're used to having a frustrating strike force so he'll fit in fine.
If he gets his head down and works hard he'll be good for us.
Just hope you don't get Cavani or Falcao.
Burn his shirt now. Save time
£12m? Bloody hell.
Isn't he out of contract in the summer? I know he signed a 4 year contract in 2009, has he had an extention since?
Apparently it doesn't run out in summer but this is the best source I could find sadly.

Ok, thanks.
Still, £12m is a lot. There are probably better players in the European leagues that cost about £2m. In fact, Swansea managed that with Michu.
I rate Sturridge he just needs to adapt his game to apply his skills in the right areas.
Brendan wants to create a British XI it seems, Ince and Sturridge to Liverpool it would seem..
Nothing wrong with signing English players if you can afford it. At least Sturridge is a technician unlike Carroll and anybody at Stoke.
Hey, it's good that teams in this day and age want to create a British spine.
They'll become the next Villa then.
18 months left on his contract.
