HOLTBY

Holtby has shown huge lack of ambiiton by joining Spurs. We don't need these kind of players anyway

When we are linked with him, he's not good enough.

When Spurs sign him, Wenger's lost the plot because we have missed out on one of our targets.

Get a grip.

Although he wouldn't be a starter for us. He'd still be a good option when Rosicky leaves and if Ramsey still falls flat. Doubt he would have been that expensive too.

he was free. 67k a week. facking steal for spurs.

Rotation is a fine thing, but it's not worth paying 60k p week for someone whose going to be on the bench half the time. We've got enough of them as it is!

So when SSN reported it its true and all finalised

we are already paying our bench players at least 60k a week and they dont play, why not pay it to someone that would play regularly. id even satrt him > arteta.

GT, Spurs confirmed it on their website

Is everyone forgetting the key point in all this?

Is he even any good at football?

Holtby would be a truly awful defensive midfielder. Rather play Fabianski there

Very much doubt he was free, Schalke wouldn't let him leave for free now, unless Spurs have signed a pre-contract deal with him.

Anyway, he's a decent player but no more. We all complain about paying our deadwood too much so would we really want a squad player on £70k a week for a position in which we need a completely different type of player?

posted on 4/1/13

Why on earth would we play him in Arteta's position?

And your right, we already do pay people just to sit on the bench, and it's a mistake that we're doing it, so why sign someone else to do it?

Kent I hate your guts u kuntt

Holtby played a bit of DM last season. Plays as an AM this season. Can also play wide. Remember when we played Nasri at DM?

Not really, he played in an Arteta role a couple of times, and hasn't played there at all this season, so can't have been very good!

Priorities lie elsewhere, why would we need a player who will be 3rd choice at best in his position? We need an actual defensive midfielder before signing players in other areas.

He will be free as he's joining spurs in the summer

depth FFS. he would rotate with wilshere, cazorla and arteta.

Why on earth would we play him in Arteta's position?

because he played there loads last season

Cheers GT, Google Translate has cleared this up for me:

"Claiming to be the "Spurs" make the transfer fee summer exchange of international's soon clear.
The package of the Premier League clubs should look like: an annual salary of 3.5 million pounds (about 4.3 million euros), plus a signing bonus of 500,000 pounds (about 615,000 euros).
Holtby now says "Yes" to Spurs?
At Schalke he said "No"! A contract extension burst in December after six months' poker. Noack and Holtby called until 6, then still 5 million euros a year ."
