I hope he plays our strongest side today. It's FA Cup 3rd round! And it's away at Westham so it will not be easy at all.
Besides we haven't celebrated this competition in ages so let's go for it methinks

A strong side will play, a few players have came out and said SAF has demanded they win this competition this year

RockSteady ,

is this officially our team for today or are you just guessing?

Because with Scholses and Giggs in our midfield it simply cannot be 'STRONG SIDE' imo

Rock Steady - He plays that team and we are out!! Our golden oldies plus a hopelessly out of form Valencia and Kagawa who is only just back
against a physical, tall West Ham side at home.

Think Fletch will get a game today plus Giggs has done ok in his last 2. Kagawa needs games to get up to speed. Valencia, yea i know but we can't risk Young in cup games with Tony in this form - especially with Nani still out.

As for Scholes, just wishful thinking on my part, as i can see him retiring at the end of the season and i for one want to see loads of him in (cup games) before we see him no more!

And the gash Fletcher

I think the team will be:

Lindegaard
Jones Smalling Vidic Buttner
Valencia Cleverly Fletcher Giggs
Hernandez Welbeck

The team I want to see is:

De Gea
Rafael Jones Vidic Evra
Valencia Cleverly Carrick Young
RVP Hernandez

Lindegaard
Jones Smalling Vidic Buttner
Fletcher Cleverley
Valencia Kagawa Welbeck
Hernandez

I think we'll see something like that. Would prefer to see Danny up top as opposed to the wing but that team should win the game.

Forgot about Kagawa

He'll play. He needs games to get back to fitness and today is perfect.

For once, I think I might be close to getting one of Sir Alex' team's right.

Why would he rest players? The fa cup is hugely important.

posted on 5/1/13

Because he likes to rotate and keep players fresh and because he can only play 11 and becasue its his 3rd priority !!!!

posted on 5/1/13

It is important. But knowing Sir Alex he'll also use it as a chance to play players that haven't had as much game time recently.

As long as the midfield has some energy - Cleverley - and Giggs and Scholes don't start in the same side then everything else can be rotated to good effect. Kagawa, Welbeck and Hernandez are all good enough and have proven so, as is Smalling and Jones. Buttner has generally been alright.

For a change, I have no qualms with sensible rotation today.

Rumoured XI

Lindegarrd; Jones, Smalling, Vidic, Buttner; Valencia, Anderson, Cleverley, Giggs; Young, Wellbeck

posted on 5/1/13

Id be happy with that, if true.

We have a big squad with players that need games, expect lots of rotation. Would be good to see Buttner and Powell get another start.

Though its surprising that there is no Kagawa, and Giggs plays twice in 5 days.

I find it difficult to believe anyone outside the club will know the team at this stage. I may be wrong though

Anderson?

posted on 5/1/13

Anderson was pictured training yesterday

posted on 5/1/13

Heard Ando was back training but be a shock if he starts

posted on 5/1/13

Yeah. I don't think that will be the team
