Cheers mate.

Exactly, but the prices in January are just ridiculious and as we all know Levy won't pay over the odds which is great, but sometimes i just wish we would take some risks and go for it.

20m for Damiao is a lot for someone unproven in the PL, but don't forget he is 23 and Brazil international and even if he doesn't have the impact we would all hope for, he'd have some resale value.

PowerShift - I agree totally with you as it would be history repeating itself if we do not get a striker in during this window particularly with Adebayor going on walkabout.

My concerns are that Clubs will try to extort as much money out of us if they think we are desperate and Levy will not play this game.

Perhaps we are going to be more like Barcelona in our approach with regard to strikers plus we have Bale as an option as an out an out striker if Defoe gets injured.

Powershift, you should change the title of you're article to " same mistake as the past 3 years" .....because Levy has not just made mistakes last year but has made big mistakes in the transfer market for years now. We have not signed a top class striker since Berbatov and still are waiting. We really could of pushed on last Jan to hold onto 3rd spot with a couple of excellent signings but we didn't and this season is no different. Levy will no doubt wait until the last minute to grab a potential bargain and we will miss out like we always do. I feel with Adebayor going to the ACON this means we HAVE to buy a striker because it would be suicidal to only have Defoe as our only recognised natural striker. If defoe get's injured then we are well and truely f ucked so you would hope Levy is currently trying to buy a striker and Leandro fits that bill perfectly.

Another striker is a must, and we wouldn't let Adey go without a backup striker

Considering we're supposed to have some kind of partnership with Internacional it's weird that we're having so much trouble in gettin this guy.

I agree nomadic, Dempsey seems to start hitting form and Bale could be an option up front numbers, but i prefer him running at fullbacks with an out and out striker converting his crosses.

In regards to our strikeforce's age, what do you think our attack will look like in the future?

Why did Berbatov have to leave on such bad terms! We could of bought him for 4m then and our striker issues would of been non existent. Damn you Berbs!!

I can imagine that Levy and AVB has someone lined up

Unless Lancaster and Coubilally has a shot

Luckily we have hot talent like Souleymane Coulibaly ready to break into the first team. He is 18 now and I would love to see him on the bench sometime soon. But with regards to the striker situation in January, we need experience or someone who can do the job in the Premiership. I'd personally like to see us go for someone like Michu.

I like Dempsey and think he has improved but he is just not good enough to be relying on as a number 1 striker with only Defoe. If Levy dosen't make a move this Jan for a striker then it will potentialy ruin our top 4 chances, it's down to you levy!!!!

Ooo La Lala:

Coulibaly seems to be a talent, but what makes you feel he's ready to break into the first team?
He surely should have been on the bench in EL or FA Cup games if thats the case, so maybe AVB doesn't share your opinion....

Coulibaly needs to go out on loan and experience the lower leagues, where it's tough and he can go up against experienced players, I can't see him breaking in yet

Michu isn't a front man, he's a false 10, breaking into the box and moving off the front man

Has he ever said that he wants to come? He may have, I'm not sure. I just think sometimes we assume that players want to come and play in the prem. When you liv in brazil and have done all your life, would you really want to leave?

Agree that we need someone though.

Isn't this about the time we get louis saha on loan?

Guys if you look at some of Bale's recent goals he is scoring them from a position right in the middle of the goal.

I'd love to see Souly get some bench time, if not just for his confidence but for the devolpment, but we don't see the next Gen games ect, I try and watch them on Spurs site, but it only shows highlights
