--Howedes------Bonucci-------Nastasic-------Digne
------------------Gundogan---------L.Bender--
-------Shaqiri-------Toni Kroos---------Juan Mata
---------------------------El Shaarawy--------------
Subs: Bartra, Muriel, Destro, Livaja, Zaha
Corners: Kroos
Freekicks: Mata
Penalties: Kroos
Captain: Howedes
Gameplan: We will be playing Shaqiri and Juan Mata out wide, in the basis that they take full advantage of 2 attacking Opposition Full Backs. Also, we will be instructing Shaqiri and Juan Mata to come inside, so they become a handful for the opposition DM and CBs. They are both very good at shooting, so they shouldn’t mind having a pop at goal, as both are in fine form this season. We will look to Kroos to destroy the opposition DM and really be a main threat from AM. Gundogan will be behind him, but equally important, bombing up when he can, but sitting back and playing the passing role to ease off pressure. Kroos will need to get those rocket-powered shots in at the opposition’s goal, as has a real hammer strike on him that he needs to release on goal. He will work his magic in his best position, and really support El Shaarawy. He will use his brilliant vision to thread through balls into the attackers and try to get round a good defence. Lars Bender has been amazing for Leverksen this season, breaking into Germanys starting 11, and has to make sure the opposition AM is given no space or time on the ball. He will keep the AM out of the game and intercept anything that comes to him. He will be breaking down play and keeping the ball as well as passing, are his best traits, so he will look to prevent any attack coming in at him, and release the ball quickly when in possession. Nastasic and Bonucci are 2 top CBs, and both have to remain solid up against a very good striker/s, they have to make sure they don’t give away penalties/Freekicks and have to win every aerial duel and 50-50 fairly, whilst marking their men closely and tightly and cutting off runs made by the strikers. They will not make any sloppy mistakes, and remain focused. They won’t give short back passes to the GK, or play risky passes. They have to keep everything simple. We will not be beaten down the wings either, as Howedes is the best defensive full-back in the world, so should look to cut off opposition runs, and when he attacks, he should offer real width to Shaqiri, and double up on the opposition LB. Lucas Digne will not leave gaps behind and always track back, and will look at them to really test the opposition full backs, with their excellent runs and their fantastic crosses troubling the defence, finding El Shaarawy, Shaqiri and Juan Mata. El Shaarawy will be the one who has to make runs on to every pass threaded through to him, and will be a huge threat from crosses, from the likes of Digne and Howedes. Kroos will go up to support him, so he will not be isolated, and will use immense finishing talent to get the goals for us.
FULLBACKS: Howedes and Digne are both good defensively as fullbacks, but will be instructed strictly to always track back, and to never ever leave space once we lose the ball. However, when they attack, they should look to whip the ball into El Shaarawy, Juan Mata and Shaqiri, who are all dangerous in the box. Or they should come in and interact with Kroos or Gundogan/Bender to keep the ball. They should look to attack the opposition fullbacks every time, and take advantage of any space left from them.
CENTRE BACKS: Bonucci and Nastasic partner each other, and they are two, class defenders that complement each other very well. They are both good in the air, quick, and very good in the tackle, which could see us keep a clean sheet. They will be up against a powerful striker, and they will have to make sure he doesn’t get the space to turn, or head the ball in. Bonucci goes for the aerial ball, up against a good quick striker, has to win every 50-50. Nastasic clears up everything on deck, and also has to be aware of the ST at all times, matching his movement, and instructing the defence well.
AM : Kroos will be playing the AM role today. His job is crucial to the team, as they will sit just in front of the DM, and will look to get the ball up to El Shaarawy. Kroos will create that extra magic that is needed to unlock defences, whilst Gundogan will sit back, just behind him, ready to help out. He will be crucial in our Counter-attacking game, as he will be the ones to supply the striker, and deliver those long, lung-busting runs across the pitch. Kroos will link up the play from Midfield to attack, being an enormous threat from long shots and his movement will cause plenty of problems for the opposition DM as they will have a top class AMs all over them, pressing them back towards their own defence.
DM + CM: Lars Bender will be guarding the back four and prevent the opponent from counter attacking, whilst dictating from deep and getting through balls into the forwards. He will break play up, and prevent any attack from happening. He will be a rock in the centre of Midfield and will control the game. He will not allow the Opposing AM/CM Any time on the ball at all. Him and Gundogan are both great passers of the ball, and look to get the ball through to Juan Mata, Shaqiri and Kroos, or look to Kroos to release those beautiful cross field passes onto the head or feet of El Shaarawy. Bender should be able to deal with any AM in the League, such is his class, whilst also being quick to cover down any spaces left by our attacking Full-backs, which would prevent any sudden Counter-attacking movement down the wings, and it would also free up loads of space for Kroos, who would either float those wonder balls into El Shaarawy, or those sly through balls into the Path of Juan Mata or Shaqiri. Alongisde Lars Bender, Gundogan will be the dictator of the game. He will read the game brilliantly, and use his superb vision to spot runs coming in off the wings. Gundogan will use his brilliant feet and quick thinking, to get out of dangerous situations, and find a teammate, when being pressurized, and will also look to play in our wingers. He will often go up to support Kroos, ready to recycle the ball when it comes back to him.
ST: El Shaarawy is the ST for this game, and he has shown just how good he is numerous times with Milan this season, especially if he gets service, which would be no problem having Shaqiri, Kroos and Juan Mata’s backing, Kroos’ brilliant vision, Howedes and Digne’s whipped in ball’s from the wings, and with Juan Mata and Shaqirie by his side, he will get plenty of chances and ways to score. He will rely on his extreme Pace, positioning, Technical ability and Finishing Prowess and look to crumble any defence he comes up against, with his brilliant knack of finding the back of the net. Juan Mata will play LM and he will look to take on and beat the Opposition RB at every opportunity, and take full advantage of any space left by the RB. Having Digne by his side when we attack would really help, as he will have some backing down the right flank. Juan Mata will use his immense dribbling skills and pace to cut into the box and look to find a shot/Teammate to try and work a goalscoring opportunity. He will link up with El Shaarawy and the 2 of them should be too much for the defence. El Shaarawy’s best attribute is his finishing, and any chance that falls his way must be finished off. Shaqiri will be on the RM, and he is known for cutting inside, making intelligent runs, and getting into goalscoring positions. He will link up with El Shaarawy and Juan Mata, causing problems down the Left Flank. He should cut in, and look to confuse the opposition, and link up with the midfield. Once he gets an opportunity to shoot, he should not be afraid of having a shot, as his extremely powerful strikes can prove to be too much for the opposition GK. Shaqiri has a powerful run, and he should look to power his way into the box to try and set someone up. He should also look to get on the end of high/deep crosses from Howedes/Digne/Juan Mata, and knock the ball down to advancing teammate

The aim of today’s game is to try and control the game right from the start/, control the tempo and do things on our terms. We will let the ball do the work with a simple, flowing pass and move game, which will leave us with energy to press our opponents high up the pitch when we do lose the ball. I want us to get right on top of the opposition from the start and press them back all game, I want quick short passing between the 3 players behind the striker, with Cabaye offering the option to ‘go home’ and start again, making sure we keep possession. We will have plenty of bodies in the middle to take control of the game, but when we have the ball we have such interchangeable players and fullbacks who can offer a lot going forward, I really want to utilise that and make us incredible difficult to contain or break down. I want the fullbacks offering most of the width for us today and getting balls in the box as Lukaku is brilliant at attacking these and we will also have at least 3 other bodies in the box waiting for anything to fall their way. Yacob and Cabaye will not be moving from just in front of the two CBs unless it’s to cover the FBs, which means we should always have enough bodies back to cope with any counter attacks thrown at us.
Forster: He needs to keep his concentration levels up and play as he is capable of. He’s a fantastic shot stopper, the main things he needs to concentrate on is organising his defence and being
alert all game.
Zabaleta & Gibbs: Both are fantastic one on one defenders but are also very comfortable on the ball. Without possession I always want them goal side of the wingers, hassling them, but not diving in – trying to force them into a backwards pass. When we have the ball I want them both pulling wide and looking to get forward, whether or not they get the ball they will be dragging players out to them and stretching the opposition, giving us more space to do damage in the middle. I also want them making overlapping runs for Willian and Reus and looking to get the ball in the box when they get in a good wide position. Between them they will be providing the bulk of the width for todays game, and it’s important that they stay forward as much as possible just because that will stretch the opposition defence, leaving more space for the 3 danger man further forward.
Hummels & Subotic: Hummels is the captain and will be bossing the back line, we have 4 players of great ability in defence and Hummels will be the one to make sure they’re organised and motivated, he will not let anyone get away without doing their job and will keep the defence sharp and focused. The two already have a great understanding and partnership going, I expect this to be key in keeping Southend out.
Yacob: Yacob will be the anchorman, as a footballer he doesn’t have as much ability as much as our other midfielders, but his job will be just as important as anyone elses. I primarily want him sitting in front of the back four, sweep across sideways rather than going back and forwards. Using his strength and physicality to pressure the opposition into mistakes and not allow them any time on the ball. I also want him covering for the fullbacks so we don’t get caught on the break, I want the fullbacks pushing on a lot to provide width for us, so it’s vital he keeps an eye on them. When he gets the ball I just want him keeping it simple, playing the way he’s facing to get the ball to our better players, then getting straight back into position.
Cabaye: Today Cabaye will start be playing right alongside Yacob. While Yacob will be doing a lot of running and hassling I want Cabaye to play a more tactical game and stay sat in the middle at all times, dictating the pace of the game from deep and offering some more protection for the defence. While we want to score goals it’s important we make ourselves hard to break down and don’t give away any cheap or early goals, so Cabaye’s role is vital. I want him to control the game, but if we get caught without the ball then he has the ability to pick a killer pass on the counter and we will have the players making the runs for him. He is also brilliant at timing late runs into the box and I’d like to see him doing this when he has an opportunity, but be smart about it and not try and do it too often, only when the perfect situation arises.
The two of them HAVE to be aware of the full backs pushing forward and defending for the counter attacks. I want Yacob to be the one to fill in for a FB with Cabaye holding the space in front of the back 4 still.
Cazorla, Willian & Reus: Today I essentially want these three fully interchanging. The starting line up is just a base position to throw off the opposition, I expect them to be on the ball a lot, controlling the game. I want them to keep the passing very short and sharp, being patient and waiting for an opportunity to make itself known. If they keep playing like this and involve Lukaku in it then they will create plenty of gaps in the opposition defence that they’ll be able to expose, they should also create plenty of space for Zab & Gibbs who will always be offering wide.
Generally I want to see them cutting in from the wing and having a shot, as they’re all so dangerous when they do, but with Zabaleta and Gibbs offering an overlapping run I want them to be aware of this option, and whenever one has the ball on their side, I want the other two attacking the area, flooding the opposition defence and giving them a lot of headaches.
Lukaku: Today I want him getting involved quite a lot in the all round play, if he drops a little deep to play a quick give and go with a midfielder it will drag a defender with him, which will create space
in behind for Cazorla, Willian & Reus to exploit. I want to see the CBs not knowing who is going to drop with him, or whether the MF should be picking him up, I want his movement to confuse them. Ultimately when we get the ball in the most dangerous positions I want him making little runs across the defenders for crosses, or off their shoulder for through balls. His finishing might not be the best but his sheer size and power should be enough to give the opposition CBs a nightmare of a game which means he will get plenty of chances and eventually a few will go in. I feel he’s good enough to hold up the play to bring others in, good enough to work off the shoulder of the last man and to score from crosses into the box from the FBs, too.
Subs:
If winning around 65 mins:
Deulofeu for Reus, just to hold the midfield better and fresh legs to keep us in control of the game, I want him to do what he does best and keep the ball moving, tiring the opposition.
Atsu for Willian, fresh legs to offer a pacey direct threat against a tiring defence who have been chasing shadows all game.

Brad Freidel will be the man between the sticks for this encounter. He'll need to command his area and be vocal at all times. He'll be looking to claim anything in and around the 6 yard box. He'll be looking to feed the ball out to the wing backs or the LCB/RCB so we can mount our attacks from there. Though on the odd occasion he may look to hit Drogba in and around the half way line.
Garay, Ferdinand and Umtiti will be the 3 center backs. They'll be keeping a tight line, but not a high one. Rio's experience mixed with the other twos youth and energy will make them a tough unit too crack.
Zambrotta and Cissokho, will be operating as our wing backs. They'll be providing the cover down the flanks and the width for or attacks. With Drogba and RVP leading the line they'll have plenty to aim for in the box. They'll also be looking for a late running Strootman (Scholes of old style) on the edge of the box if they want to cut it back.
Capoue (the destroyer) takes up his place anchoring the midfield with Pirlo just in front to his left, the play maker, he'll be looking to get the ball from the defence and feed the attack via the wing backs or key passes to Drobga/RVP. Strootman will be playing just right of the 3, he'll be the engine, getting up and down the pitch. Always being an option.
Van Persie and Drogba lead the attack, they're both strong and deadly in and around the box. Drogba will be looking to win the ball and find Van Persie with the knock downs. RVP will be the one to drop off a bit a pick the ball up from the midfield, whilst Drogba will look to hold the ball up and feed the oncoming wing backs.
If winning after 70 minutes:
Montolivo will replace Strootman, dropping in along side Capoue to keep the energy up in the middle of the park. Kagawa will replace Pirlo and sit in front of the two DM's in a bid to keep possesion of the football.
If losing after 70 minutes:
Ferdinand will come off for Gaitan and Strootman for Sarabia and we'll move to a 4-2-2-2

Crawley team and tactics:

----------------------Villa--------------------
Subs:
Martins-Indi, Kuyt, Tello, Cuneca, de Jong
Set pieces:
Pens: Villa
Freekicks: Navas
Corners: Alonso
Captain: Godin
Game plan:
We plan to play a high tempo passing game from the back and break forward with pace.
Tactics:
Vorm:
He is to be big and strong with one-on-one's with the opposition players. He needs to play the ball to the full backs and centre backs and set our attacks off. He also needs to be big and strong in the air and command his area.
Granqvist and Taylor:
Both are to play the ball forward or sideways and make sure the opposition players get tired out. Both also need to be big and strong in their tackling as well. Also we need both to break down the wings with pace and play one-two's with our wingers. Both also need to be aware of the opposition wingers and full-backs breaking at our side.
Godin and Koscielny:
Both are to be big and strong in their tackles and in the air. Whilst one is winning everything in the air the other should be clearing the ball away. We also want the two lads to command the box area as well . However, to fit in our passing tempo both need to play the ball forwards or sideways in triangles and tirer the opposition players out.
Iturraspe and Alonso:
Iturraspe is to be big and strong in his tackling and stopping the opposition players getting in and around our penalty box. He is also to get the ball and play it out wide or forward. Alonso will be his usual passing self and will whip balls out wide to our wingers and play one-two's with Maher. He also needs to help out Iturraspe to stop the opposition getting in and around our box. Alonso if he wants can have a strike on goal from the half-way line .
Maher:
He is to break with pace from a defensive position and break forward with the ball. He is also to play one-two's with the players from our team around him. Maher can have shots on the goal as well if he thinks nothing else is on.
Navas and Muniain:
Both can switch wings throughout the match, both need to be aware of the opposition's full-backs and wingers putting pressure on our full backs and side. Both can play neat 1-2 passing with our DM'S, AM and FB's. Both also need to get balls into the box low for Villa to get on the end of.
Villa:
He is to play on the shoulders of the last man. He needs to keep himself on side and get into the box and get on the end of everything to tap the ball into the net.
Subs:
de Jong on for Maher (making his last appearance for my side) - like for like on 70 mins
Cuenca and Tello on for Navas and Muniain - both like for like on 80 mins

We are playing a Crawley town side today who like to pass the ball around, however our frequent pressing, hard tackling and combatitive nature intends to break up their play. Our 5 man midifeld will break up their play, whilst we will be able to hit them on the counter with direct and quick ball movement forwards towards our dangerous strike partnership.
Schwarzer is an experienced goal keeper who has more than enough in his locker to deal with the possible threat of shots at his goal. He will only claim balls into the box on occasion due to the aerial prowess we possess in defence, although he will be its organiser. When distributing, he should look to do so quickly in order to set us on the counter attack.
Whilst we may look to lack defensive width cover in our 3 centre-back formation this is not the case. When defending deep, Neustadter is more than comfortable at shifting into CB, Varane out to RB and Evans to LB forming a more than sutible 4 man defence to deal with any threat. However, the 3 man defence should have enough about them in terms of pace and strength in order to nullify any options that they have up front and allow as little space as possible. The defence will look to shift the ball towards our midfield quickly in order to help us break at speed. The versatility in posistioning and general cohesion in this settled defence means we can deal with any Crawley attack.
Neustadter is the Anchor Man to our play. As discussed previously he will at times drop back to CB to help out however he will mainly be there to put his body on the line, deal with any AMC and generally break up their play with his intensive style. Lampard and Carrick are both well honed midfielders adept at putting in a good defensive shift and closing down the opposition off of the ball. However, they will also be the launchpads for our attack. Carrick will spread the play in a 'quarterback'esque style, picking out the players in space and dictating the game whilst Lampard will look to use the ball and break from deep causing the Crawley defence to always be on the back foot. He can use his long distance shooting to cause many a problem for their defence.
Draxler will be providing the width to our play. Essentially, he will use his pace and trickery to beat his man and get to the byline before putting dangerous balls into the box. Sigurdsson on the other hand is not a natural winger but can also cause trouble as an inside-forward. The same role he performed at Hoffenheim, he will look to target the space between the defensively vulnerable RB and the slow moving central defender in order to exploit and confuse them. From here, he can link up play or take advantage with his own deadly shots.
Dost is a big man with a deft touch, and he will link up play for us in attack as well as seeking to get into the box and cause problems with his strength on the aerial presence. Di Natale on the other hand is a fox in the box poacher, who will never allow the defence to feel comfortable on the ball purely due to his presence and won't be able to step up the pitch due to his predatory instincts. He will lead from the front and seek to nick the all important goal on the counter attack.

Game Plan: We look to attack the opposition with the pace and power we have going forward, looking to keep the ball moving with pace and finding gaps in the defence. Defensively we work as a unit to press all over the pitch not going the opposition any time on the ball.
Tactics:
Courtois will command his area, making sure to command his area, coming out to collect crosses and relieving pressure on the back 4. Get the ball out quickly to launch counter attacks.
The back 4 will look to stay in line when defending, playing an offside trap to stop the opposition finding spaces in behind. The FBs will look to get tight to the players out wide, we expect the opposition to be interchangeable so FBs man mark the player closest to their area of the field, getting tight and forcing them wide as possible and make it difficult to get a cross in. Put strong tackles in and don't allow them to use the channels or cut inside towards the middle. We face a strong, pacy striker today which will fit perfectly into our hands with the CBs we have. Dante will man mark him using his strength, beating him in the air and not allowing him any time on the ball, putting strong tackles in him. Track his runs around the area and don't give him any chance to get him in the game. Barzagli will be sweeping up around him, clearing the 2nd ball if it gets beyond Dante. He will also watch for midfield runners who attempt to use the channel or get into the box, picking them up and clearing anything in towards them. Attack wise the FBs push up to support their winger when the attack is down their side, holding width to stretch the opposition out, opening space in the middle but also giving us an outlet to move the ball out wide and then get crosses in towards the strikers. They can also make runs inside the wingers to switch things up, looking to get into the channels and cut the ball back.
The midfield duo of Diame and Beñat have all the power and composure needed to fully dominate this game. They must get into the faces of the Cambuur playmakers, being strong in the tackle and bullying them out of the game. They are very interchangeable, when one stays back the other is able to move further forward, keeping the ball moving, using their power to drive at the opposition when possible. Beñat will look to keep the ball moving, getting into the pockets of space all around the midfield and using his excellent passing to create chances, particularly in playing balls over the top.
The forward three midfielders are all brilliant on the ball and are able to move into space and make things happen so we give them all free roles. Ozil will roam around, dropping deep to get the ball, moving wide, making runs off Cavani, wherever he likes to get on the ball and make things happen, looking to create space for Lamela and James to unleash their flair. He will always be alert to what's around him and look to move the ball quickly to get our attack steamrollering the opposition. Lamela and James will look to play with lots of flair, really taking the game to the Cambuur backline, always looking to run at the opposition, linking with the FBs when outwide to make chances and get crosses in or make runs between defenders or coming inside and attacking the middle then opening things up and slipping a team mate in on goal. All 3 can help defend, pressing high up the pitch and tracking back when we are under pressure, always ready for the chance to open things up and counter attack.
Cavani has everything in his locker to trouble any defence. He will look to move around, always on his toes ready to drop off and slip a team mate in on goal or run off the shoulder of the defence to get in on goal. He can use his strength and height to hold the ball up and attack crosses.
On the counter we look to Lamela and James to get outwide, stretching the remaining defenders, Diame and Ozil will attack through the middle bursting forward and looking to run off Cavani, dragging defenders with them and opening space for Cavani to attack the opposition goal.
Subs:
If Winning: Bertrand for James 70', comes on at LM and makes us more solid. Van Ginkel replaces Ozil 75', more energy to midfield to press all over. Ba for Cavani 80'.
If Drawing: Kuba and Insigne for Lamela and James 70'. Ba for Ozil 75', move to a 4-4-2 and look to use the flanks to full effect.
If Losing: Ba for Monreal 65-70'. 3-5-2. Kuba for James 75', Insigne for Diame 80', really push forward now and get the goals we need:

Free kicks – Chadli
Pennys – Robert
Mig – as a goal keeper I expect you to be loud and boss you area. I expect you to do the easy stuff right and keep concentration and allow your god given talent to make the big saves when/if needed. You have an experienced back 4 ahead of you so it should be easy.
Boeting and Coco – you’re experienced CB’s who are physically strong and great in the air. I expect neither of you to lose a header tonight and I want to see you stop the striker. Cover for each other and don’t be too silly on the ball just get rid. Though if you have time and space look to play the ball out from the back,
Barca Boys – Harrogate is the new barca I want you covering the winger and stopping crosses. I want to see you be available for the CB’s to pass (only should they pass to you if they are not under pressure.) When you have the ball look for a pass. Link up well with the winger and run to make the overlap. Attack the bi line or cut inside and don’t be afraid to take on you man.
Fofana and Verratti – you are the controllers, the hub of the team and I have faith in both of you. Look to get the ball from the back 4 and play it out wide or forward. Link with everyone around you and find the killer pass. Do not be overrun in midfield and make the enforcing tackles. Both of you are playing for top European teams and are more than good enough.
Fellaini – dominate the midfield attack with the ball to feet and attack the ball in the air. No defense can handle you so play like you have for me and Everton in the past. Link up with the loan striker, wingers and the CM and draw the defense out to create space for other… if you want to take them on and shoot too. Also make yourself a target from set pieces. IF WE ARE GETTING DOMINATED IN CM DROP BACK, and attack from CM and become the enforcer and make sure we win the midfield.
Wingers – attack the man and get crosses in for Robert or Fellaini to head, cut inside and shoot yourself or play early into feet. Make sure your looking for the overlap and when it happens covering the wings for counter attacks.
Robert – Lone striker with plenty of help, look for the ball to feet and taking on defense, Make a nuisance of yourself and draw defenders to create space for the big man or get your head on crosses. Hold the ball up or shoot and score it doesn’t matter. Just make sure you are never isolated and if you are drop deeper to collect the ball and look to pass to the on rushing attackers.
Fabianski
Diawara Mbiwa Burdisso Balzaretti
Veloso Rode
Chamberlain Wilshere Ince
Huntelaar
Subs – Jelavic for Huntelaar 80’
Game Plan – This game is a game we want to win and though it appears we’re playing defensive, we aren’t. I want us to attack them with everything we’ve got. We will be working together to earn this win so I want all our players to stick to their position but also keep in space. This will mean they will be an option for any player that has the ball. I want our football to flow with a direct passing style. I want us to also use the flanks as much as possible as I think this is where we’ll be more effective.
Positional Tactics:
Fabianski should keep in his goal controlling his defenders to keep to their positions. He must use his strength to beat everyone to the ball. Communicate constantly with the defence to prevent confusion and mistakes.
Diawara should play as a full back. This means when we have the ball he should keep back. He should stay back but if the winger is struggling then he can help out. I want him to bring the other defenders towards him in order to open up space for Chamberlain to take advantage of. While defending Diawara should try and push the player back. This means it gives our players the chance to get into their positions and also limiting any attacking options for them. If he can’t do that he should push him out wide to a position where he has to kick the ball off. This is because running into the box would be dangerous for us to handle so this will be prevented. Balzaretti should also act as a full back however because they will be dangerous on the counter we need to look to keep some players back we can prevent goals from occurring. However I would like him to go up every now and then if my attackers do need the help. He should also look to keep the attackers back or push them out wide. When we have a free kick or corner our full backs should stay back in case of a counter attack.
Mbiwa should use his height and strength to keep the striker(s) out of the game. I want him to keep with that attacker at all times not allowing him to break up space. If he tries to move mbiwa away and allow space to occur then he should temporarily leave him and try and trap him offside. He should try and header every ball out of the box or kick it away. When he does kick it away he should kick it towards the wings so that we can create a counter attack. He should stay back when we’re attacking unless we have a corner or free kick. Burdisso should use his experience and strength to keep potential runners into the box out. We do not want any space opened up. He should look to keep command of the defensive line making sure it’s not too high but not too deep.
Veloso will act as a wall in front of the defence. He should look to disrupt their attacking play and be in the oppositions face, and watch the advances of their playmaker who will break from midfield and make runs into the box. Veloso has the power to cope with the strength of their playmaker and also the pace to follow the runs made by him. He will break late and Veloso should watch the runs into the box and look to cope with the balls put into the box which are heading for this player. He should not break forward but hold his position and not get caught up field. I want him to control the style of the game we play. While acting as cover for our defence he should also separate the midfield from the defence by keeping hold of the ball and form attacks.
Rode will be our box-box midfielder. This means he will be linking our defence with our attack. He should take hold of the ball and then make runs forward and then supplying it to any of the front 4 ahead. When we’re attacking I want him to move up and stay in space. This will mean he will be an option for the others to pass to. He should also look to open up space for the other attacking players. When off the ball he should be a ball winning player by standing in front of their players and also covering up any spaces.
I want Chamberlain to use his skill to keep the ball and then try and make runs into the box. This will cause the defender to follow him and opening up space for the full back to run into. He must use his pace to outrun the full back but also his quality control of the ball to dribble round him. He will use the full back when the space has opened up. If that doesn’t work then he should bring the full back to him and then use some help. When we’re off the ball I want him to make runs back to help protect the defence by helping Diawara cover their full back. They should both pressurise him to make a mistake or remove the ball from that area. Chamberlain should also be cautious of the other midfielders. When defending a corner he should stay just outside the box so that he can start a counter attack when or if we win the ball back. I would like Ince to do the same as the ox in this case.
Wilshere should use his pace and strength to make runs into the box and opening up space for Huntelaar. It should do the same for the wingers as well. He will look to supply the ball to the wingers as well. He must make runs all around the front of the defence going right, left and centre. This will create himself as an added option for his wingers and also open up space for the other central players to run into. This will also cause his defensive midfielder to move out of position and allow our wingers to use that space by running into the centre or the other 2 central midfielders to run into.
I would like Chamberlain, Wilshere and Ince to intersect and change positions every now and then to cause their defenders to move out of position and open up space. This will also force them to constantly adapt to changing their defensive style.
Huntelaar must use his pace and skill to open up spaces for the wingers and central players to run into. He should make runs to the wing forcing the centre backs out wide. Therefore players like Wilshere and the wingers can cut into the centre and take chances by themselves. He should look to overpower their defenders with his pace and strength and height. He should constantly look to move into space to create himself as an option for the defence. He should also try and assist others in attacks. When we’re defending he should mark the player at the edge of the box. When we win the ball back he can run up to keep himself an option on the counter.

Arbeloa------Godin------Puyol----------Aurtentxe
-----------Iturraspe----------Alonso--------------------

-------------------------Villa----------------------------
Subs:
Dominguez, Herrera, Tello, Cuenca, de Jong
Set pieces:
Pens: Villa
Corners: Navas
Freekicks long: Alonso
Freekicks short: Navas
Captain: Puyol
Game plan:
We plan to play neat little triangles and one-two's to break down the wings. We plan to keep it tight at the back and defend from the front.
Villa will put pressure on the oppositions centre-backs to lose the ball and if he gets the ball. He will play one-two's with de Marcos and with Navas and Muniain supporting them both all four will break forward with pace, playing one-two's with each other. Aurtenetxe and Arbeloa will support our wingers in attack and overlap them and play one-two's or neat little triangles with Villa, Navas, Muniain and de Marcos. The idea of the triangles will be to tirer out the opposition and keep them guessing as to where the ball will be going. In this sort of playing style communication is key between all of the team. Iturraspe and Alonso will break the oppositions attacks up and set our team off on the attack, by playing balls out left or right or even down the centre should their be anything else going on. Puyol and Godin's job will be to keep the players in front informed of what's happening around them, so they can get the ball moving forward.
Jobs:
Valdes:
He is to be big and strong when it come's to one-on-one's with the opposition defence. He is to be big and strong in the air too. He also needs to command his area as well to let people no whats going on ahead of them. Valdes is also a good shot stopper so anything that get's shot at him he'll palm it away. Valdes is also comfortable on the ball and passing the ball to Puyol, Godin or our full-backs will be the best way to get rid of the ball. Valdes will also need to communcate with our players as well, this is gonna be an important word for our team.
Arbeloa and Aurtenetxe:
These two are to play the ball between themselves and our centre backs or forward to our wingers. Both will also play neat triangles with our dm's and wingers closer to the half-way line away from our penalty box. Both will also overlap our wingers when we go on the attack. However, should we lose the ball both must get back into their full back positions as quick as possible. None of them need to rush into making silly tackles however, should a tackle need to be made it should be big and strong. Both need to communcate with our team and respond to orders been shouted at them.
Godin and Puyol:
Our experienced central defense will be tested in the air, so both need to make sure they're big and strong in the air against the opposition's striker. Both need to command the players around them and be big and strong in their tackles however, not aggressive to concede a freekick or pen. Both also need to get the ball out of the box quick if the opposition are pressing our penalty box, by doing so they'll either clear the ball as far down the field as possible or make sure the ball goes out for a throw near the centre line. Godin or Puyol will also get the ball from Valdes and play one-two's with each other or our full-backs and get attacks going from the back. Both also need to commucate with the players around them and send orders.
Alonso and Iturraspe:
Alonso and Iturraspe are to protect our back four from opposition attacks. They'll need to be big and strong in their tackles as well however, not aggressive. Both will also need to fill in at the back when our full-backs venture forward. Iturraspe and Alonso need to communicate with each other at all times, this is very important for our 2 dm's as one needs to know what the other is gonna do. Getting the ball down and playing it forward will be required from these two and no showboating with the ball around our penalty box. Both will play the ball out wide or to de Marcos or down field for Villa in front of them. They can play neat triangles as well with each other near the halfway line, making sure their don't lose the ball. When going into the oppositions half Iturraspe will be the more staying back player why'll Alonso can get a bit closer to the oppositions penalty box and have a few shots on the goal.
De Marcos:
He is to use his pace and get the ball off our dm's and break with pace. He is to play one-two's with our wingers and break down the field toward the oppositions penalty box. He is to have a shot on goal as well if he thinks that's the best option. When our wingers have the ball out wide de Marcos needs to be getting into the box and supporting Villa in the box should a ball come into the area. De Marcos needs to communicate with the players he is interacting with. We also expect de Marcos to put pressure on the oppositions DM's to get the ball off them and defending from the front to stop the opposition breaking into our half. If a tackle is necessary then he can make one however, not agreesively so as not to give away a freekick.
Navas and Muniain:
Both need to put the pressure on the opposition full backs to make them lose the ball and both can break forward with pace playing one-two's with Arbeloa, Aurtenetxe and de Marcos. Both need to get low or high ball's into the box for de Marcos or Villa to get on the end of. Both need to communicate with the players their interacting with. Both have the lisence to swap wings through the match should their find it easier to cut in on their favourite foot better to have a shot on target. Both also need to get back and help our full-backs out so they not left exposed to opposition attack. Like de Marcos, should a tackle be necessary then both have the lisence to do so however, not aggressively as to give away cheap freekicks to the opposition.
Villa:
His job is to defend from the front, putting pressure on the opposition centre backs and making them make a mistake and getting the ball and breaking towards their keeper with pace. He is to also make himself big and strong in the air against the opposition centre backs and knock balls down for de Marcos or our wingers to get the ball and have a shot on goal or break into the box. When our wingers go on the break down the wings Villa needs to get himself into the box so he can get on the end of either that comes into the box and get the ball on target or in the back of the net. Villa also needs to make sure he is on the oppositions central defenders shoulders to receive balls coming down field from Iturraspe or Alonso. It is also important for Villa to communicate with the players in our team he's gonna interact with.
Subs all on 80 minutes and whatever the score:
Herrera on for de Marcos – like for like and same duties apply
Tello on for Muniain – like for like
Cuenca on for Navas – like for like.
Rambled on a bit I know , but hopefully you'll get the picture Loyal .

-------------------------------Goicoechea--------------------
--Howedes------Bonucci-------Nastasic-------Digne

--------------------Vorm---------------------

-------------Iturraspe---Alonso----------
Navas-------------Maher---------Muniain

---------------------------El Shaarawy--------------
Subs: De Bruyne, Coutinho, Shaqiri, Schurrle, Muriel
Corners: Kroos
Freekicks: Schmelzer
Penalties: Gotze
Captain: Howedes
Gameplan: We will be playing Mario Gotzei and Juan Mata out wide, in the basis that they take full advantage of 2 attacking Opposition Full Backs. Also, we will be instructing Mario Gotze and Juan Mata to come inside, so they become a handful for the opposition DM and CBs. Nastasic and Howedes are 2 top CBs, and both have to remain solid up against a very good striker/s, they have to make sure they don’t give away penalties/Freekicks and have to win every aerial duel and 50-50 fairly, whilst marking their men closely and tightly and cutting off runs made by the strikers. They will not make any sloppy mistakes, and remain focused. They won’t give short back passes to the GK, or play risky passes. They have to keep everything simple. We will not be beaten down the wings either, as Carvajal is the best young full-back in the world, and has really impressed for Leverkusen this season at the age of 20, with such maturity. He should look to cut off opposition runs, and when he attacks, he should offer real width to Mario Gotze, and double up on the opposition LB. Schmelzer will not leave gaps behind and always track back, and will look at them to really test the opposition full backs, with their excellent runs and their fantastic crosses troubling the defence, finding El Shaarawy, Mario Gotze and Juan Mata. El Shaarawy will be the one who has to make runs on to every pass threaded through to him, and will be a huge threat from crosses, from the likes of Schmelzer and Carvajal. Kroos will go up to support him, so he will not be isolated, and will use immense finishing talent to get the goals for us.
FULLBACKS: Carvajal and Schmelzer are both good defensively as fullbacks, but will be instructed strictly to always track back, and to never ever leave space once we lose the ball. However, when they attack, they should look to whip the ball into El Shaarawy, Juan Mata and Mario Gotze, who are all dangerous in the box. Or they should come in and interact with Kroos or Gundogan/Bender to keep the ball. They should look to attack the opposition fullbacks every time, and take advantage of any space left from them.
CENTRE BACKS: Howedes and Nastasic partner each other, and they are two, class defenders that complement each other very well. They are both good in the air, quick, and very good in the tackle, which could see us keep a clean sheet. They will be up against a powerful striker, and they will have to make sure he doesn’t get the space to turn, or head the ball in. Howedes goes for the aerial ball, up against a good quick striker, has to win every 50-50.
Him and Gundogan are both great passers of the ball, and look to get the ball through to Juan Mata, Mario Gotze and Kroos, or look to Kroos to release those beautiful cross field passes onto the head or feet of El Shaarawy. Bender should be able to deal with any AM in the League, such is his class, whilst also being quick to cover down any spaces left by our attacking Full-backs, which would prevent any sudden Counter-attacking movement down the wings, and it would also free up loads of space for Kroos, who would either float those wonder balls into El Shaarawy, or those sly through balls into the Path of Juan Mata or Mario Gotzei.
ST: El Shaarawy is the ST for this game, and he has shown just how good he is numerous times with Milan this season, especially if he gets service, which would be no problem having Mario Gotze, Kroos and Juan Mata’s backing, Kroos’ brilliant vision, Carvajal and Schmelzer’s whipped in ball’s from the wings, and with Juan Mata and Mario Gotze by his side, he will get plenty of chances and ways to score.

Lamela---------Ozil-----------James
----------------Cavani
Subs: Bertrand, Van Ginkel, Insigne, Kuba, Ba
Captain: Dante
Free Kicks: Cavani/Lamela
Penalties: Cavani
Corners: Beñat
