Yeah Ronaldo deserved it last year. Amazing player, like Mourinho said the amount he works each game, and the amount of goals he scores as a winger is amazing.

My opinion, if both were available I would take Ronaldo....easy.

Messi has way more to his game than Ronaldo. He contributes to many assists, and scores an incredible amount of goals. He is far more effective at running past players too.

Face it, there is little argument which anybody can make to prove Ronaldo is the better player. Other than Ronaldo has scored vs Chelsea.

Well watching Madrid, the contribution Ronaldo makes defensively whilst still contributing soo much to the attack and the goals return he gets as a winger is pretty amazing. I don't just look at the goals and assists. Ronaldo is far more effective at scoring with his head, more effective with his weaker foot, and more effective at making successful challenges when working defensively. He is a different animal to what he was back at United.

Yes I did all last season though not much this season. And yeah Ronaldo was an amazing player for them last season and the best player in the world, are these awards not based on the contribution they made for there respective clubs and international teams over the 11/12 season, or do they count the start of this season

Messi can run through a whole defense. He has great balance, and is harder to shrug of the ball. I watch Barca, and his overall influence on the game, not just the goals/assists, is incredible. He sets the tempo creates and space with his movement. Ronaldo doesn't do these things.
His vision is amazing too. He can execute passes which I don't think any player could make. Ronaldo can't do these things, try play Ronaldo as a number 10 he would fail, play Messi on the wing and he would still be incredible!

I love Ronaldo, he's one of my favourite players, but I think Messi has gone onto another level and sadly Ronaldo is not as good.

Ronaldo and Messi are completely different players nowadays, only similarity is they're their team's main source of goals.
