Nope, not my twitter account.

Don't think Internacional are in need for money plus they just cashed in about 25m for Oscar from Chelsea.

"Don't think Internacional are in need for money plus they just cashed in about 25m for Oscar from Chelsea."

Which may have lessened their burden, but not necessarily cleared it.

If you take Spurs for example, the sale of Gazza I think halved the PLCs' debts, but there was still ~10m to be cleared.

So a club can still be debt-laden, but not necessarily having creditors pushing them so hard at the moment.

I'm pretty sure Vertonhengy is right - that we sold Zokora to them, and that was after the Ramos affair?

So that dispells any notion of them refusing to deal with us doesn't it?

Fair enough. I have no inside knowledge about Internacional's finances, i'm just imagining that Sevilla's problems are bigger. It's widely reported their debt of around 49m has to be cleared and therefore i'm assuming that if we are the only team willing to buy him for the demanded price they'll sell.

Philspurs and the Argonauts - rhythm guitarist in 'JA JA Blinks', the 606 spurs band (U3278)

Nope. Zokora went in 2006 and Ramos joined us 2007.

Just because we sold a player to them, doesn't mean they'll sell to us.

We did steal their manager afterall...

We sold Zokora in 2009... He played in the 'mickey mouse' cup final under Ramos

Kanoute went there from us didn't he?

Me neither.
What I will say is that I doubt they are even close to the position that Spurs were in during 1991, regardless of the talk from the Tim Vickerys of this world.

Which means they won't have to offload Damiao ASAP like Spurs had to with Gazza.

There was a news article about Internacional's problems. They also missed out on their version of the CL too I think?

They sold Oscar, but bought Pato for a similar amount

posted on 10/1/13

Zokora left us in 2009 We also sold Kanoute in 2005 to Sevilla, so that's a couple of deals before and after the Ramos saga.

yeah you right, got it mixed up...He joined us in 2006

Kanoute is not related, as we got Ramos after we sold Kanoute...

Doovde, BEFORE and after the Ramos saga Point is we've had a few dealings with Sevilla, so it's very possible this deal can happen with us

Pato joined Corinthians, not Internacional.

Doovde :

This was the jist of Tim Vickerys' comments on Talksport.
Still think there will be one offer only from Spurs, or none at all (so we won't even have an "at least we tried" from the club ) .

I don't get why you're mentioning Kanoute though.

We sold him way before Ramos joined. The reason Sevilla are pi55ed was due to us taking Ramos from them.

The only deal that can be noted was Zokora, but as I said, it doesn't mean they'll sell to us.

Powershift of course he did

Well... They apparently need a lot of cash still.

JUST SELL DAMIAO TO US

posted on 10/1/13

Doovde, cos' that's of the most 3 dealings we've had with them, obviously the Ramos one in the middle being a saga. So it shows that we are capable of doing business with this club without it being a mess

I tried to find some quotes stating that they won't deal with us. Couldnt find anything specific apart from accusing us that we went behind their back. Help me out.

The other thing is, Internacional might even need a lot of cash but as we already heard, there a loads of other parties who have shares in Damiao so they won't get that much money anyway.

From what Vickery has said, I was under the impression the fee isn't the issue. Apparently quite a few people have a stake in Damiao so they all need to agree and getting everyone together at once is a nightmare.

And of course there is the possibility that Spurs are currently negotiating with them unseen (at least by the agent) . So that if an offer goes into the club, when the club put the deal to those parties they get an immediate 'ok by us' response.
