Also Barca gave up the title fairly on in the season if I remember correctly. They were 8 points behind before the new year.
..........................................
wrong even though I believe gap was 9 points el clasico game was 6 points and if barca won it would go to 3 points. This game was between the 2 legs of champions league semi which did both teams more harm then good.

real madrid had 1 shot on target today shocking form now and got a late red card. I persoanally think they are now focusing in champions league only.

It is when you know you have to do your absolute best to beat someone who isn't even trying.

Say what you want about their league form, but they will be as dangerous as ever when we play them in the CL. They're still favourites, no doubt about that.

Really? It is extremely difficult to play absolutely gash for 5 months of the season and then turn it on for 2 games, it doesn't work like that. I think we are favourites.

Brilliant man manager.

Just don't give him a chequebook or let him stick around too long.

He is one of the greatest mangers ever because of his ability to step in and manage top class players immediately and get results (trophies)

but he seems to leave a train wreck behind more often than not and there are deserved question marks regarding whether he could build success without £££££££££££££££££££££ worth of players or build a long term successful side.

Might have been a valid point had he not won the CL with Porto!

a bad ref decision got Porto past United. I thought it was funny then and still do now.

But they didn't deserve to go through and they had an otherwise easy draw

it happens in cups sometimes.

still takes a good manager mind. And he's an excellent manager.

If thats all the luck he recieved getting through to the CL final, he's done better than I thoughtl!

Mourinho haven't really bought to heavy in RM, remember that Ronaldo and Kaka was bought in the season before. Real is such a huge club and it's huge expectations, before Mourinho came in they hadn't gone past the last 32 in CL on years..7 I think..

He has brought in Di Maria for next to nothing, Ozil was cheap so was Khedira, only real big spendings have been Coentrao and Modric, and both of them haven't fitted to their price tags.

In Chelsea he bought in excellent piece of talent, Drogba, Cech, Ivaovic all going strong even today, what does that tell you?

In Inter he more or like was so awesome that the players really couldn't handling him leaving, it was a old squad and has effected their late years. A manager with true feelings for a club wouldn't leave in such an "important" time.

Like you can see Inter have more or less had to build a new squad, but after all much to blame on the managers that have sunken the ship.. Benitez and so!

Mourinho is a great manager, and still young despite his merits. But thing about Mourinho is his loyality to any club, it's rock buttom(maybe beeing a bit harsh there but) I mean, I feel that he makes a lot of tension to the clubs his coaching due to contract talks and such diva stuff which a coach really shouldn't be doing. But ye, he've said himself he want's invidiual success more than anything. His the perfect "bad guy" in any fairlytail, but I couldn't sleep at night knowing it's him coaching Manchester United.

We need stability options like Moyes, Solskaer people we know are loyal and is helping the club develop in the long term. You can see it as a pattern, clubs that changes managers often dosn't have the same success as the ones keeping them..

I also see Guardiola as one of those "glory-hunter" managers, the way he left Barcelona. I didn't like it. I'm more or more afraid he will be the next United manager, and I only hope he can be loyal and serve many years, and not leave us one day empty handed.

I said

1. Brilliant man manager
2. He is one of the greatest mangers ever

Fergie still has personal issues about his record in Europe and he could be (rightly) accused of being the ultimate domestic flat track bully but not great in Europe.

Paisley has a the greatest domestic title record ever (6 in 9) and 3 European Cups. But he gets accused of inheriting a side rather than building it.

You can criticise 'great' managers.

And the criticism may be debated, but it's not unjustified.

Ranieri brought in Cech Wilson

He was an amazing buyer of players.

I think he would have won the title cofortably if he stayed another year. Not by as many points as Jose did, but I think he would have.

That includes a 6-1 win against schalke 04 where neur was man of the match should really have been 11-1 on aggregate and against arsenal 4-1 on aggregate game at old trafford should have been at least 4-0.

I think Chelsea proved last season that it certainly can work like that.

you don't have the real trophy. You have a trophy. The 'real' one i.e the first one was handed out ages ago
