Why are you willing to take league running advice from LRF?

im disagreeing on his thoughts on the league

With NO benefit to the SG Board overall. You are driving away the newer members and potential new members. It's like a closed shop you need to break into.

Personally I don't think it's a closed shop. The league I help to run has increased it's numbers for 10 to 14 within the last 4 months?

The problem for me, is that leagues that could have easily continued were closed down, only for other leagues to open and then close down - see the pattern. That's how this board lost potential long term members.

People were just getting messed around. two successive leagues had a great initial following - but both closed for no real good reason imo. No wonder people decide to give this board a miss, because they know if they join a league whats the point - you're not going to get long term fun out of it. Not saying that's the only reason -but it is a reason.

LRF's League with Fan. LRF had a big fall out with Fan and that league closed on 4,000 odd comments? Then LRF rebooted the League with 21 against 3/4,000 comments. Then 21 was left on his own, got some help but it closed. 8,000 comments wasted

Actually more like 10,000 comments between the two. But how I saw it 21 got left on his own, even though he was actually just mean't to be helping out.

it would have to be up to our league members if we joined forces but imo there are a lot of obstacles stopping this:

1. 2 leagues stopped, 1 reformed puts people off
2. 4 league runners may be too many
3. 1 or 2 of the league runners will not be in as much control as the others and could cause problems
4. disagreements about the way results/transfers are done

Okay so I know I said I wouldnt join another league - but if it helps, and if the more the merrier can make another successful league I'll be in.

The DL is my baby, but I can be a member on another league.

the league has started but i could talk to the other runners about pausing the league with you trying to catch up with our quality. therefore you get forest

No promises, I'll think about it if i can obviously have Forest as my team otherwise thanks for the offer but no thanks mate

As good as certain changes would be, we need to ensure this league actually survives imo Don't want to lose CEF and LFC

Welshy was right about the League I had set up, I was at first meant to be helping LRF out until he found a proper co-runner, but then he left to be replaced by GMW, who left in turn, before everyone got fed up with all the changes, and whilst people like Juan and Ludy tried to carry on, the love for the League was gone as a whole

Just a side note question to Punting, how can you support Man U and Crystal palace seeing as there is no affiliation between one team and the other?
