This would give 40 league games a season

So more games and, against worse teams...that's a seller
The whole split thing really annoys me as well
You only get better if you pit yourself against a better opponent.
Every talks about the bridge between the SPL and the first division being too wide.
Make the top division bigger, let the smaller clubs come up and play the best the clubs in the country, imporve in the process, and you'll get a better more competitive league.

Stevie,
We had that and it was dire
More of p@sh = p@sh
I say give this new idea a couple of seasons...we've asked for change and although the majority are against it, nearly all have differing opinions on what it should be.
Crack on, I say
Magners, you can't see the bigger picture.
You say worse teams, these teams up their game for the big games, it has been proven many times this season. As the wealth spreads the difference in class will reduce.

I'm sorry, I've watched us reconstruct our league three times so far and, it nearly always comes back to the same question...how do we lance these two massive abnormalities.
Because the ONLY way we'll get better, is the big two playing outwith
What about a 13-13-13 set-up...with the last 3 teams that joined the association, demoted to the Highland league or Junior super-league?
Magners, I don't buy that. Young guys don't get the chance they deserve in the top division because all games are supposedly against the top teams, and 4 times a season. How boring is that?
The temptation for bigger clubs to play younger players against weaker opponents will be there constantly, improving them as players and strengthening the team and opposition in even measures as a result.
13-13-13? How many times do you propose teams play each other every season?

They are getting more chances now than they ever have in the last 20 years...because Spl teams are skint
No disrespect but, all the best Scottish youngsters are either with the Spl pro-youth set-ups or, down south.

I hate the split as well - oh and Magners what's wrong with having more teams from the lower divisions - you didn't exactly walk all over Arbroath did you?
Fck reconstruction, we are offski and dont give a shit
Terrible idea. The only way to improve scottish football is get rid of the meaningless teams not have more games against them.
16-18 two top leagues with professional clubs only, regional leagues below this to allow a pyramid structure.
