Can't see it. If we brought someone in who won a few on the bounce putting us in touching distance of the play-offs, then we capitulated and finished lower - mid table there would be droves calling for his sacking

Absolutely. Exactly what we need to do.

Any fan with a brain knows we'll achieve nothing this year.

Mr Warnock needs to give his players confidence they are seriously lacking belief, he needs to look at this season as a chance to go if he instill some determination and grit in the players, they didn't suddenly become the team we saw last week.....I think we're stuck with NW so he may as well tell them to go out and bloody play for themselves enjoy the season and work hard as a team.....none of us believe in him or the team so he's got bogger all to lose and neither have they.......next season is next season

We did that last season when we were 6 points from the play offs, we got beat at home 4-1 by birmingham and grayson was sacked so are we going down that road again if we get beat at home on sat against bristol city then warnock has to go and it will be interesting if he plays becchio tonight since he says that he has had his head turned

Any fan with a brain can well know this seasons over but it's up to the team and the manager to prove us wrong like I said theyve got nothing to lose we've all given up anyway

I'd grudgingly write this season off if there was hope for next, let's face it, it's a bust already, so what's to lose?

posted on 15/1/13

Agree with Lancs on this (what am i saying ?
But Leeds Fans will never write a season off, they'll expect the team to go out and give 100% and get results, which is why we are all so peed off, it's not been happening, so i can't ever see the season being wrote off until it's over

True, Highland, but it's now got so depressingly bad that it's hard to have any hope for this season. But you're right, we never truly give up, do we

Confidence must be at an all time low right now and although they deserve a kick up the arris, getting abuse for what is Warnocks ultimate doing is not going to help improve anything. They need someone to come in and instill a sense of pride, and if that works this season and they fly with renewed confidence and reach the playoffs, fantastic. But if they don't, will the fans again be calling for heads in the summer?

Bywater at the moment we have a manager whether we like it or not he's got to somehow get the team believing in themselves, and he has to go against everything he knows which is to get the team passing on the deck as God intended not hoofing the the ball up the pitch....give us options not just 1 man Becchio.....as for him having his head turned at the moment can you honestly blame him? Football careers are short loyalty doesnt pay the bills and at the moment he's getting slagged off for being a carthorse etc and yet he's our top scorer....I honestly if I was a leeds player with some of the stick they get wouldnt want to come on the pitch at the moment.....

Becchio isn't getting any younger and if he and his agent can't see premiership football next season with us, then I don't blame him for reviewing his options.

I have no problems with taking time to do things right and I believe fans would buy into a strategy if it was shared with them.

If GFH say, we're aiming to get to perm, how many people buy more STs and spend more to support that?

If however GFH say something - weve looked at things and think that with transfers, youth and right manager we can get promoted in next 2 seasons but we need X amount of Sts to make that viable.....I think you'd get a hell of a lot more support as the fans then have some ownership of how they can help.

GFH saying nothing at present creates vacuum which helps no-one.

It's not about this or even next season.
There is a far bigger picture.
Bates has created so much negativity, this needs removing, it's such a tough job with so much wrong at ER
So many fans have lost interest
He really destroyed something special

Jonty, totally agree.

Jonty is spot on, but, perhaps he ought to allow them to talk in their own time though as opposed to demanding they respond to questions over twitter and the like. They have barely sttled in and he's spreading his own kind of 'mirth' regarding everything Leeds United.

Perhaps he'd give them a bit of time to get their feet under the table and pack in haranguing the new owners, the manager and anyone else connected with the club. Or at least do it quietly.

RSL, do you think you have a positive or negative effect on these boards...?

Eric, the truth hurts that's why my opinions are not liked.
I really feel for GFH, I very much doubt they knew what a complete mess the club was in when they amazingly bailed out Bates.
If they don't have money to invest in the team they really are clueless.
However, my opinions are unimportant and should not create any negativity, unfortunately that has happened because the club has been run into the ground.

RSl, agree Bates has destroyed a lot and the fear of course is that whilst he's still around (even in presidential role) it will be hard to move on.

I don't mind if GFH have no money.

I don't mind if Haigh isn't really a Leeds fan.

I just hope they're not in same mould as Bates, at the moment it is very hard to see much difference in teh club.

I think we'll have to wait til summer to see tangible difference, but that might be too late for them the way fan sentiment is turning against them so quickly.

shawn, completely valid point, must be very hard for players, that is why it is so important to have the right manager who can lead them through this. With Warnock spending more time than he should in Cornwall, undermining players in public and mainly concerned with sticking it out until retirement I don't think he's right person for tough situation we're in.

RSL

Sometimes, and I accept its a rarity prone as you are to repeating the same mantra, day in day out, week in week out, you actually come out with a good one...!

Your opinion is not what is not liked, just as the same goes for the Dreary 1, it's not your opinions that grate, it is the constant carping.

I get pilloried for being cheery and positive, had you been here from the beginning you would realise my view is invariably opposite to you and the other dreary, negative posters on here more for my own amusement than anything else.

You cannot help being so dreary, just as Jonty cannot, it's in your makeup.

Folk like Liw swear a lot, others don't. I see it as a tribute when he goes off on one, mainly because I realise he's lost.

Opinions are there to be aired, not kept in a box, it's the repetyition that does our heads in.

Truth has never hurt me.

I think it would be nice for a few fans to actually sit with NW and GFH and actually show them the mess that Bates has created with the fans, some of the most loyal together united fans in football despite everything in our recent history, just 10-20 minutes of their time for them to understand how vitally important this club is to us and the local community as a whole.....maybe the players could see that despite the moaning there is a club here worth playing out their skins for and if the fans see them giving 100% we can forgive them for not being the best player in the world and for making mistakes every now and then...if they just put in a good decent shift we're all behind them....despite Bates demolition job there is still a very good club with a decent set of fans waiting to cheer them on, if only the owners would instead of saying how disappointed they are they'd actually ask us how we feel, if only NW instead of saying players heads are turned he'd actually give them a reason to go out and enjoy every game then they might just maybe want to stay...we can't sell players a long term vision when the manager doesnt have one

shawn, Haigh should know what it means if he's the fan he claims to be, but in principle you;re right and hopefully the meet the fans idea GFH floated actually comes to fruition sooner rather than later.
