We have got some good memories to look back on from every decade. Sure it doesn't compare to what Liverpool did in the 80s, but few clubs can say their history does.
However, its just arrogant to suggest that your history makes you deserve respect and reverence from every supporter, especially if you achieve feck all for over two decades.
Sure you can talk about Houllier's quadruple season, but then we can talk about Vialli's five trophies in three years. Sure you can speak of Benitez, and the CL, but we can talk about three premier league titles and massive cup success.
The last twenty years or so, Chelsea have been better.
And stop talknig about our money, Liverpool have cash now, and they did in the 80s, amd Villa, Forrest and Leeds had it in the 70s. Utd spent massively in the 90s and early noughties.
Every club spends big in order to be succesful.
