Burkina Faso surprising

They still should have called up Bertrand Traoré.

Nigeria have already won, why are they playing another game on Sunday?

Nigeria

I warned you about Nigeria. Emenike.

Can Burkina Faso appeal Pitroipa's red card? They really should. It was disgusting how the ref was blatantly trying to get Ghana to win.

Emenike is good. Physical striker, not very technical, but he'd get 10-15 goals a season for most PL sides. Like Yakubu but works hard. Actually Yakubu was better, if he could be bothered.

Omeruo has had a good tournament at CB as well. Guy's just 19 but has been keeping captain Yobo on the bench. Chelsea scouted.

So Nigeria on to win ACON, as expected.

Wrong wrong wrong.

Emenike combines good physical presence with high technical ability on the ball. You cant play for Nigeria if you lack technical ability. Go to the streets of Nigeria and ask, they'll tell you Yakubu was one of their least technical players. Emenike is far better, just that Yakubu got the exposure of the EPL.

Omeruo is actually a Chelsea player loaned out due to work permit issues. Wit him getting games for Nigeria, this will no longer be an issue.

Know what you're on about before making categorical statements.

that ref needs investigating !

that was one of the most blatant attempts by a ref to help one team win over another, i've ever seen !

You're making categorical statements as well That is just your opinion. There is no need to act so superior about it.

This tournament I have been far more impressed with Emenike's physical attributes than his ability on the ball, although I don't often watch him at club level. I did however watch Yakubu at club level. Was a big fan of his. On top of his game was such a big danger, but suffered from injury problems/attitude problems..

Yes, I do know about Omeruo. He was scouted by Chelsea, I did not say he was being scouted by Chelsea. Emenalo got him. Impressed me at this tournament.

==================

Bit harsh to suggest a person who predicted both Nigeria and Burkina Faso to do very well in this tournament doesn't know what he is talking about.

Come on Nigeria!!

Surely we can't mess this up, surely.......

Burkina have their best player Pitroipa banned I think, though could well be overturned considering he's their best player and the controversy with the referee who has been banned as well by the CAF. Second best player Alain Traoré is injured. It is Nigeria's to lose.

Did you know Ross Barkley is eligible for Nigeria?

Good decision.

Wasn't the ref also punished?

He better be, I don't know.

I watched the highlights on ITV and I was disgusted. How could the ref be that bad and so blatantly biased towards Ghana?

The ref was bought! simple!

So Pitroipa has had his red card overturned, and Moses and Emenike ruled out to injury. Suddenly looking harder

posted on 9/2/13

To be fair I have to hand it to Burkina Faso, to win under those circumstances was a victory for all that's good about the game and if they are too strong for my country in the final, I'll be the first to applaud them.

Injuries are a blow but I think Nigeria should focus on maintaining the intensity and creativity of the semi-final display.

Ahh, there you go again. Well as its a matter of opinion, I reckon both will play on Sunday.

well it makes an interesting final! in a way it's good for Nigeria so they don't take the opposition for granted.
