any news on tuilagi's fitness sars?
He's in the starting line up, Richard Cockerill said his withdrawal last week was precautionary as his calf had become a little tight, but I think he's good to go
cheers good news for england
Missed the first 2 games mate i was in the office all day.
Anyway onto the others.
Cardiff Blues v Sale - Cardiff by 7
I gave sale a fighting chance last week i wont be so dim this week. that said Cardiff ar rubbish also.
Ulster by 10
Leinster by 19
U made a a rare mistake this week SARS. Leinster are at 100% full strength. At 100% they are as good if not better than Clermont. Exeter on the other have have a bunch of injuries. This will not be pretty. i say 19 point margin and im being conservative.
Northampton by 9
Mate you're not at the races this week. Glasgow are awful. Northhampton drunk could take these guys.
Toulon By 7
Toulon know them too well.Home advantage for Montpellier only means that they will lose by less than usual.
Clermont Auvergne by 24
Toulouse by 5
Munster by 7
Saracens by 14
Ospreys by 7
SARS mate. we agreed on almost everything last week. This week we separate big time. Good Luck mate.
I hope for you, and a lot of my wifes family, that you're right!
Have a cracking weekend and the same to all other posters out there!
Did you see the Harlequins game, blimey, proper mud that was!
Anyone know what the weather is doing in the UK today. There is only so much you can learn from the weather on TV whats it really looking like on the ground is a better indication. Anyone?
I'm in London and I've been massively underwhelmed by the snow so far...some matches are still in doubt from what I've been reading but nothing confirmed.
Missed last night with pub related business:
Saturday
Cardiff Blues v Sale
Not sure really as there's not much riding on it, could go either way.
Cardiff by 5
Castres v Ulster
French team at home usually equals a win so we'll go with that
Castres by 7
Exeter v Leinster
Agree with SARS on this one, Exeter at home are very strong and they defend properly as a team. Leinster's game looked like it was coming together so this should be a cracker I hope the pitch isn't too ropey.
Leinster by 12
Glasgow v Northampton
Saints form is a bit hit or miss, the packs not performing as consistantly as it should be and the backs aren't producing much. That being said I still fancy them to win this one. Love the signing of Corbesiero or however you spell it, he's a quality prop for next season.
Saints by 7
Montpellier v Toulon
I think home advantage will probably be enough here for Montpellier but I wouldnt be surprised if Toulon do get the win.
Montpellier by 3
Scarlets v Clermont Auvergne
Agree with SARS
SARS - Clermont by 10
Sunday, 20 January 2013
Leicester v Toulouse
Depends which Toulouse turn up and how much they're up for it really
Toulouse by 3
Munster v Racing Metro 92
I really like RM's ridiculous pack, it's way too big but a lot of fun to watch. Munster will take the early power and weather the storm to win once those big knackers get tired later in the game
Munster by 10
Saracens v Edinburgh
Sarries are doing what Sarries do and bad weather won't bother them at all.
Saracens by 15
Treviso v Ospreys
No idea, going with the Welsh
Ospreys by 7
The commentary team during the Montpellier v Toulon game are great! The guy from northern Ireland, don't know his name, but he comes out with some crackers and the welsh guy (morris i think) is a perfect counter to him. Just burst myself laughing at this exchange.
The northern ireland guy is talking about one of the players,
"he's great, i just love him"
the welsh guy says: "I think he's taken"
First time i can ever remember where i enjoyed sky sports commentary. Which is normally just awful
Well Montpellier just killed us I think. But at least Leinster know now that they need to do something very special. I think we are talking 7+trys Its not likely to be honest. We really needed Toulon to help us out today. They didn't. Have i mentioned that i hate the french! Even when they lose they cause us problems.
From what i've heard, the weather seems worse in the west and north.
I agree on that commentator, he's absolutely brilliant, he at Biarritz last night and really lit up the game, but Ulster are his favourites. I reckon Toulon vs Ulster would be the dream game!
Good luck Ding, I imagine you're about to have a pretty tense day or so!
Montpellier were brilliant to be fair!
Yeah
I can't findthe squad list, but Sky are saying Racing have named a very weak squad for the Munster game
Oddly, if I were a Quins fan I'd certainly prefer Munster
Exeter are giving it a right go!
They're up for it no doubt, Clermont 24-0 up at halftime!
Interesting that a bonus point win at home to edinburgh will put Saracens at home in the quarters
Good call SARS and Sporty. really good call on the result of the Leinster game.
Leinster deserve more than to leave now but that's the way it goes sometimes.
Hang on in there, its not over yet!
Well fair play to Munster. they did exactly what they needed to do. And of course the french were lazy and rubbish. Anyway on to the Amlin and the Pro12 this year for us. Best of luck to you guys if your teams are still in the comp. I will be supporting Ulster from here on in
Ding!
What's this I hear about your man Sexton leaving Leinster??
Ye he's courting the french. But its just what every top level player does in Ireland in order to get the best deal from the IRFU.
The french are offering 750,000
The IRFU can't aford that, not even close, but they offer other advantages.
Anyway, basically every time an Irish player's contract is up they are over in france shaking hands very publicly in order to light a fire under the bottoms of the money men in Ireland. But no player from Ireland has every signed a French contract. Its all a big game of chess. And the IRFU lose every time LOL :D
OH sporty,
I just read the official line from the IRFU.
Sexton is leaving for Racing Metro. Hell that's a surprise.
Well best of luck to him. He's gona need it!
No Player welfare program there! He will play every minuet of every game and when he's injured he will be dropped like a hot snot. He's made a mistake. But thats what the €s will do to you i guess
