what about kompany and vidic and maybe agger aswell, they are 3 of the best defenders in the world, its notjust about attacking players
Remy is world class.he will prove this in the upcomming games.
Surely Jonathan Walters needs to be on that list though.
I'd rather a league lacking in general quality than one where all the quality is found in only two teams. And I do think you've been harsh on the PL - no Kompany? No Vidic? No Hazard?
Cashley is still up there with the world's best.
I think Hazard is World Class, or at least getting there.. Others may disagree.
Cole is another good one.
If Aguero is on there still so should about 25 strikers who have been better than him this season
You can make arguments like "what about this one or that one" but at the end of the day the league peaked a few years back and most of the best players left to the big 2, got old, or injuries took their toll.
Quality wise the league is almost back to the 90s when 2 leagues were head and shoulders above us in quality.
Hazard's getting there but Vidic has unfortunately been injured for too long and I don't thinl he'll reach even half of what he once was, Kompany was maybe a tad harsh, but he's been inconsistent this season and if he captures his 11/12 form then he'd be right up there.
It's frustrating, as maybe 4 years ago this league was littered with phenomenal players, just not anymore it seems
Form is temporarary, class is permanent. You can't call Rickie Lambert or Danny Graham World Class just cause they've done better than a player who is in recent times. Aguero is World Class.
tevez for me is the best of the city strikers
Tevez for me as well. Aguero is a flop for almost 40 million
Outside of Real Madrid and Barcelona, Falcao is the only world class player in La Liga.

How come Aguero is yet people always argue that Rooney isn't? Rooney has a better goals to game ratio at club and international level and doesn't play as an out and out striker a lot of the time.

I honestly think that's down to the oil barons.
There was always one or two teams at the top but the wages weren't hugely different, and players would happily move to a contender safe in the knowledge they could progress, and possibly the team break into the top 2/3.
Nowadays players looking for a move to the PL not only look for a side with a chance of winning trophies but for the biggest wage. Players like.. Courtois, Lukaku, Dzeko, Nasri, Clichy, Ba, De Bruyne, Sinclair, Rodwell, Marin etc... all could be at other PL clubs plying their trade, entertaining fans.
Instead they're stockpiled and rarely used/loaned out where we never get to see them. The rest of the clubs are suffering as (as in the case of Ade) even when these players fail, or get fed up of wasting their career, no-one can afford to take them on.. it's such a waste of talent.
Maybe the new increase in tv money will help bring more talent to the league but FFP will only ensure that the clubs at the top can spend more anyway...
I'm depressing myself.. rant over.
Tevez Kompany Hart Gerrard Vidic Dzeko Agger Cole Baines(?)
You can always argue about individuals but I agree with the overall sentiment of the article.
The Premier League is not currently in a strong position.
La Liga is much stronger, and the Bundesliga and Serie A are improving all the time.
The PL is a decent league, exciting and competitive, but the quality currently is not very high.
Aguero is flop that is coming from a united fan, you couldn't make it up
he's 40 million pounds and about as clinical as Danny Welbeck.
Bale and Suarez are not world class. Both are incredibly overrated.
