Im not sure about Souness.... the man talks sense but he has a facial expression like he is at a funeral.

Gary Neville is heads and shoulders over every pundit, but it's not because he's fantastic, he's actually doing his job. He's brought freshness and clearly has no bias to whatever team.

Other pundits have become so mundane to repeating themselves over and over again, that you can tell they do very little preparation for their analysis. I remember Gary Nevilles, diving interview. Talk about absolute class. No bias views, video clips to back his point, didn't even bow down to the media child Messi and criticised him too for doing it.

This should be expected of every pundit. Then again, if you're Hansen who gets around £40,000 to rip a footballer then why would you bother.

Pat Nevin. By a fair distance for me. If you ignore his pronunciations and just listen to his tactical punditry, then Pleat is quite good as well.

I have been impressed by Neville, but I wouldn't have him at the top just yet, sometimes I think he tries a bit too hard in trying to be seen as unbiased. I also think a lot of people had low expectations for him when he started, so they can't help but be impressed with how he has done so far.

Agree about Redknapp though.
