Do you have to create your own player for this and build them up, or is it where you control a real side but just select a player each?

Yeah that's the gist of it mike. You create your own player and either play drop on matches with randoms or join a dedicated no nonsense club and play with friends and try and get to division 1. EA are saying there'll be huge changes to clubs on 17. About time it's been getting stale the last 2 years.

I hope we can get at least 5+ players together to create a nice little ja606 team and wreck some noobs with our glorious pass and move team play!

I like the team play, but really don't enjoy playing with only 1 player offline and making my own guy, get bored so easily therefor my pro ends up being rubbish and I struggle to contribute with him online

There's no offline mode for clubs so there's no chance you'll get bored (hopefully!) It is much more fun with friends. If we can get a couple of us on headsets that would be cool aswell.

You start of with a decent overall rating, I think 75 is the base start off point.

You can't level up your guy offline like you do on PES. Playing online matches with others does.

It is a lot better than what PES offers. Pretty much the main reason I'm buying the game.

I'm up for it, if you have lots of players, but only 4 or 5 online at once I assume you can play a game still?

Do you guys usually have one player take the 'any' player option or is that not allowed/or not a thing any more?

You only need two players to play a match.

We tried with and without 'any'. Think it works better with it on as the AI can be a bit shiiite at times.

Tyke normally plays as an ANY and an ideal number of players is around 4/5, but you can play with 2, but ideally at least 3 IMO is enjoyable

The one thing I want EA to bring in is the ability to join matches that have already started, like you can join a friends clubs match at half time etc.
