So Why Exactly DID we do so well?

A dreary's lot is a difficult one eh?

I'm with you and for want of a better expression "One swallow doesn't make a Summer"!

I'm genuinely pleased we won, good for morale, good for finances and hopefully keeps Leeds United in the public profile a wee bit longer.

As you say, I'm perplexed at the way in which we perform against better opposition but when it comes to League matches we are generally poor.

I know we can play football so it has to be the tactics. Are we playing to the strengths of the team? Not sure, Becchio can't be the sole reason for hoofball, let's face it, Warnock has generally played this style everywhere he goes.

We lack creativity in the middle of the park.

Like others I was pleased with the defence, White had one of his better games and didn't have that many mazy runs that tend to end in nothing of note. I'm not convinced by Peltier but he deserves a run. Lees has potential but we need another more experienced central defender to help out.

Byram is playing well, might not be his preferred position but hey, let's hope he carries on with the form he's showing. Keep White there for the time being with Drury in the background. Sure we can find better but funds are limited.

Bring Boyd in and we might just have something to shout about in the midfield.

Somma's not ready for a long run in the team yet, why not try out Poleon? I certainly don't want freebies over the age of 30 with a two or three year deal coming in.

Varney had his best game yesterday. Yes he gets a lot of stick but he's happy to draw a wage when his performances are generally pi55 poor. Yesterday changes nothing for me in that regard, we need better.

I don't think GFH have much money at all. Any funds coming in will be taken to keep the club afloat with very little to play with on the transfer front.

Most Leeds United fans know this, perhaps GFH could manage expectation by being a little more forthcoming about our true financial position and Warnock/new manager could utilise more youth and definitely keep the ball on the pitch for a change.

5 stars from me!!

"Most Leeds United fans know this"

Pray tell us how you "know this" and how you know most fans know this? I'm genuinely interested in your sources.

Can you prove otherwise?

....
Our first goal against spurs was from a over the top hoofball it ball! Don't think diouf got a to touch on it.

So it was a hoof it ball goal. And it played our part in winning.

You must have been watching a different game to me and to be honest I'm not getting into a bizarre debate with you Meme. Have a good one.

Maybe you was at a different game ?

I suggest you watch the replay back and watch it was our player in his own half that hoofed it in the air (and diouf missed it am sure) and it ran into Varney and we scored. So it was a hoof it ball goal. And it played our part in winning.

But because it was against spurs no one cares and it's not hoofiball.

Yet if it was it bottom of the table Bristol it would been a hoofit ball goal and a disrcafull goal and not the Leeds united way.
