I nearly forgot our sparkling away form 2 seasons running in the league, I think we were only beaten about twice outside of Glasgow over the space of about 18-20 months pretty impressive

Theres no doubt in my mind that over the last 6 season DUFC along with Motherwell have been the most consistent teams in the SPL

i duno if i agree here mate, or maybe i just expect more of DUFC, with players you have and had over the last few years i think you should be up there near the top.

houston wasnt a good manager, and i think with a decent manager you will see the best of russell, GMS, daly etc

and, though i think this is a bad point, end up getting more money for them

I agree there have been so many great times watching United since the day Levein took over. Look where we were the day he walked in the door We have made fantastic progress and the club is in a far better position on and off the pitch.

As you say, this has all been done while reducing the debt by £4 million

However, I feel that Houston was taking us backwards and things had gone very stale. We need freshened up and that is what will happen. We go on from here. We will continue to sell our best players, at the right price, and eventually clear the debt

Best games of this era omitting the 2010 final. The League cup semi against Aberdeen at Tynecastle was a fantastic night. A superb atmosphere, perfaormance and Clangers chipped in with his own cameo. The other was the 4-2 at Easter road in 2010. That goal by Swanson A simply superb overall performance

AK, you know I backed Houston all the way last season and I was at the 4-1 at Dunfermline and a lot of the fans were backing him then too. That game for me (actually another highlight) changed our season last year and I've been waiting for that game to happen this season, but it never has. It's just not happened this season and Houston didn't really address our problem at the back, so he must take some of the blame for that, with a Webster type figure I feel we'd be up there with ICT and Hibs!!!

Anyway we're not that far behind, if we get the right man in we can still make top 4, and more importantly stay in the cup

Forgot to mention Goodies overhead kick in the 2-2 against Motherwell, what a peach we were along the other end of the GF so didn't see it that well

westcoast I was in the shed that day and right in front of it. Goodie caught it sweet, but to be fair Randolph should have had it.

Houstons downfall has been his assembly of the squad and his refusal to drop certain players. We haver far too many centre midfield players and he has wasted money on guys live Mihadjuiks, Van der Meulen, Vignal, McLean and Skacel.

Not to sure about Pressley though, but Houston had no managerial experience and that turned out ok (up until this season anyway) Sometimes things just work out at a club, this could be the challenge Pressley needs. He knows how to beat Rangers that'll do for starters

Whoever the new manager is, they have an instant opportunity to endear themselves. Just beat the newco and that will be a great start
