I remember it well. Villa were bang on form and looking very good.
The team needed 'something' and Arshavin was a good signing who made a world of difference. How times change, Arshavin is barely a footballer and Arsenal can't give him away and Villa, certainly on current form look every bit a Championship team in the making...
Nacho Eraso has been linked in the last hour. I've been waiting all day for some erratic Arsenal rumours and that's the first one I'd call half decent. Good player at Malaga and capped by Spain. I'm sure someone's just picked him out of a Panini sticker book though.
Why would it be Arshavin's 'fault'? The purchase of Arshavin that January gave the Club the lift it needed to get into the Champions League spots that year - if anything, we need another Arshavin-esque transfer today, like David Villa.
Shame it won't happen though

I seriously need to sort my life out and get back into a decent job again. And a new flat, this place is a hovel in comparison.
