Agero is overrated to be honest, and we don't need a forward.

Much rather Modric or Pastore came here.

Aguero wanted 200k+ a week which isn't affordable under fair play rules hence we stopped chasing him last year.

As for transfer fees we shouldn't have to spend over the odds for players. We don't need loads of signings just some younger players, two maybe 3 to make an impact now and others for the future like Lukaku.

If we don't use the young players we have like Sturridge and Mceachran then what future do we have? We won't be spending 30m+ after this summer/January.

Fans these days seem to be so short sighted, few look at the long run

You really think we don;t need a forward? you are still believing that Torres will deliver, he has past his best, and Sturridge is trying too hard to impress, it might affect his overall performance

no i'm not in denial. at times when we miss out, i get really defeatist about everything. but i think we have dodged a bullet here. i reckon he'll flop at city.

much rather our midfield was improved and the likes of sturridge were given a chance.

What matter most is that we win the Champions league which Roman craves, after that we can start planning for the future, I am not again Sturridge or Josh joining the first team, I just think its penny wise pound foolish to miss out on quality players because of few million pounds, if we want Modric and Pastore then lets them an offer they can't refuse. Whats all this banter, we are not Arsenal for Christ sake, and wait till Arsenal miss out on top 4 next season then you will realise that Wenger has been wrong for ages

Aguero.,......

meh, not worth the effort.

npe77 and LSTD spot on could not have put it better myself

Whatnext is that you again with another new account?

I agree, Aguero is totally untested in PL and is coming across as arrogant already imo, not saying he wont work out he may be a great success but its a massive risk, not everything is solved by simply buying players. We have plenty of quality calibre up front with a mix of experience and hunger to impress. I agree with npe77 (U1328) and shall keep my fingers crossed for Pastore.

I just hope Pastore has a rethink if he seriously is considering joining PSG.

Sky have said PSG are in the drivers seat and could wrap it up for dinner time.

alright, maybe aguero might not work out but we need to get Modric and Pastore in time so that they can be integrated into the side quickly

Drogba Leee how long have you supported Chelsea? Or rather how old are you?

Chelsea is a club and a business, we're only fed what's in the papers and the majority of that is tosh. It's not always a case of going out and finding the most expensive player, we have scouts who look for talent, we have a manager who looks for gaps in our squad. Pastore would have been a good purchase but for the money it's not what they consider a logical buy. Perhaps Modric is? I'll leave it in the hands of the board and have faith in them. Now can we stop all our doom mongering? I know it's disappointing being linked with people then not getting them but it doesn't mean our squad has got worse.

we should increase our bid for Pastore, we should be in the drivers seat, we are Chelsea for Christ sake, we have the cash

Yes Yes it does.

City's other big buy Dzeko wasn't up to a lot last term if you recall....he had a huge reputation & was dismal

Torres...
He is past it, I'd rather hope Sturridge and Drogba can pull us through next season

I have to say...he has been a massive disappointment & I don't see him hitting the heights
sad to say - another Sheva

We should sign Neymar, Modric, Hazard, Pastore if we want to make a strong challenge on all fronts next season

posted on 29/7/11

Only need two of those players. Buying all four would be am unnesccarry waste of money

It won't be, infact its an investment into the future cos we won't be needing any reinforcements in the next 5 years

Neymar 40m, Modric 35m+, Pastore 45m, Hazard 30m

150m on 4 players when we still wouldn't be addressing the fact we need a young CF for the future(Lukaku 20m) and a back up RB(VDW 13m)

So we'd be spending 198m+ in one summer?

you really need to be a bit more realistic
