I'm a believer !!! Been wondering where I could get to sign this petition .. Sorted !! .
I do think you could extend this to the other Yorky Clubs to good effect too and thus urge you to considerr that .. Whats the aim 100,000 signatures or just as many as possible.
PS: Btw: I think he would've definitely been a Town Fan too ..
I see the Bishop of York Minster has said he should remain in Leicester....nothing to do with the fact he used to be Dean at Leicester cathedral before he went to York then ??
I reckon Town fans going to the cup replay should wear Richard III masks, then form a raiding party and gather up the old bones...Richard did state he wanted to be laid to rest in York...
Deans .. At Leicester .. What on earth is he doing there Jacko ?
Trying to offload Beckford ?
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Thats "Peng" Jacko .. Anyone improve on that .. ? ..
Wakey .. Stick a team (of your choice) up on Jacko's Match Thread as its gone a bit quiet there and we need summat to chew on .. ..
gotta be honest on this one..
who cares... whatever it cost to exhume, study and then possibly move his bones could be better spent elsewhere..
"if we have learnt anything from history".... seems to me we havent, just keep repeating the mistakes with bigger and better weapons and we now televise it....
Major .. and I mean MAJOR attraction for the worldwide Incoming Tourist Industry both for York and Yorkshire .. Extra Employment aplenty .. Worth fighting for ~ though not with lances & the like.
Oh I don't know...a few Yorkists riding down to do a bit of pillaging in Leicester sounds okay to me..........
It's not long ago that a Derby County supporter was rubbishing Town's hat trick of top division titles on this board. That achievement is in the record books as part of history. Doesn't it mean something to current Town supporters? Isn't there a sense of pride and identity?
Personally I am a Yorkshireman before I am an Englishman.
Wherever Richard III's remains are interred, there will be a cost. I would like him to rest in an appropriate place.
On the Leicester Cathedral website they claim, “There has been a major memorial to King Richard in the Chancel of the Cathedral since 1980.” Big deal! That’s how much they have cared about the guy.
Requiem mass is still said in Middleham Church on the anniversary of his death.
Travellers to Lancashire via the M62 pass a stone marker on the Yorkshire Lancashire border. It has a white rose on our side... the symbol of the House of York.
uncle,,
if the people that run the country start showing any pride in it, then i might join in...
national identity is now a "forbidden" aspiration...
moving some bones about aint gonna help...
I suggest the left wing lobby will start calling persons involved in the campaign rude names fairly shortly..
The national press and government spokespeople were more than a bit annoyed that "yorkshire" would have come 7th at the olympics!!!!!!!
maybe we should look for independance or just join scotland for the lower prices on just about everything???
why not lay him to rest with the 2 nephews he had killed....maybe under a staircase?
just sayin like!
Since he was born at Fotheringhay Castle , Nr Peterborough, Northamptonshire, surely this is where he should be laid to rest and not in Leicester or Yorkshire.

You surprise me. I thought that you would be one of the last people to surrender meekly.
Nobody can be exactly like me. Sometimes even I have trouble doing it, but I persist.
