Bale Really That Much Better Than Walcott?

Bale does have pretty good technique, Dubbed, and you don't credit his crossing which I think is one of his best attributes, very consistent, much more so than Theo. However, the hype he's getting at the moment it ridiculous.

I think Jeff Stelling said that you can't mark him out of games, which is just untrue, look how well United dealt with him a couple of weeks back. While his right is improving he is still pretty one footed, and as for better than Ronaldo, well if anything he's a left footed Ronaldo-lite and it's pretty clear how he aspires to be the guy - taking unnecessary pot shots from all over the place and mimicking his stupid free kick stance.

this season Theo has been better, but Bale is better overall. He's been on this sort of form for 3 seasons or so now. This is the first time ever that Theo looks like the player he was hyped up to be at 16. If he continues he could be better than Bale.

Rubbish. Since not going to the World Cup Theo's improved dramatically, and since 2010 has looked like that hyped up kid.

His love of Ronaldo might also help explain his diving.

Theo is better in front of goal and that's all I care about. If he trips over his feet but scores the winner against Bayern Munich then that's gd enough for me. Bale is well over hyped, read a spurs fan valuing him at 50 mill the other day!. Madness.

He's shown flashes since, but he's never been this consistent like he is now. I think missing out on world cup and not being a starter for England in Euros is what pushed him.

True say, don't get me wrong he's a quality player Bale but I don't think he's been that much better than Theo this season and he seems to get more praise.

It's not the Spurs fans that price him at £50m, it's just all media.

Frankly, he's worth about £25-30m, but imagine how much that could go up if he imporves over the next few years.

I saw a spurs fan the other day say, he reckons Bales worth 50 mill, know what I saw. You get that much but he ain't worth that.

Could get

I agree that he could well go for £50m if Spurs decided to sell him now for whatever reason. As Benny says that's due in part to the media, and him being British also contributes to that.

Still for me, and a lot of others I'm sure, he is the best left winger in the league, I just wish he's stay out there (or rather I don't as an Arsenal fan, as that is where I think he is by far at his most effective).

Nani is the best winger in the PL and top 3 in the world.

Bale has been seriously over-hyped.

OK, he's a decent player but he's a long way short of being the "world class" player he's been labelled.

He has pace, although Walcott is faster.
He scores the occasional goal, but Walcott scores more
He makes the occasional assist, Walcott creates more.

I'm not saying Walcott is a world class player either, but he's closer to that mark than Bale

Nani has been pants this season.

IMHO both are cracking players. If you ask me I think deep down every other team bar maybe Chelsea and Man City would love to have both in their sides .

I think both offer their respective teams a hell of a lot and I would hazard a guess that both boys read all this crap comparing both of them and have a right old about it.

Top 3 is pushing it. Maybe top 6.

Who ya got Dubbed?

I can only say Ribery and Di Maria are better tbh.
