Good player, its what we need;real quality. BR looks like he is getting an awesome midfield ready with Coutinho, Gerrard, Lucas plus Henderson Improving.....adding in eriksen would be fantastic.

wont happen

Let's not forget Suso that we recently signed Ajax's best player in Luis Suarez. We also have a key Danish international in Daniel Agger who just signed a long term contract, and could recommend Liverpool to Eriksen.

If by some miracle we signed him, I think we would line up like this

-----------Lucas---------Gerrard--------------

Coutinho---------Eriksen-----------Suarez

-------------------Sturridge----------------------

That side could challenge for top 4 in my opinion.

It'd be amazing if we got him but i think he'll move to Spain.

that side would never challenge for the top 4,you've only got 6 players in it

I would mess my pants if we got him, he is a real gem, but without CL football I would be gob-smacked if we managed to sign him

Which goes to show why top four has to be the target as without it you fall further behind as the clubs ahead of you sign the best players. I'd say this was a big factor in FSG's decision to sack Dalglish, despite his two cup finals.

I am not sure he will yet.

He turns 21 next week, I don't think he will want to go to Real or Barca too early and risk not being a regular starter, and realistically they are the only two teams in Spain who he could go to.

I think he will see Spain as his future move, at 25/26, when he enters his peak.

I expect England,Germany or Italy to be his next move, but not to us though.

Surely Man City, Spurs, Arsenal, Bayern, Milan, Inter, Juve would all be ahead of us in the pecking order currently and are possible suitors.

Why bring Kenny into a debate about Eriksen?

It became a point, after you mentioned it is difficult to sign such players when you don't have Champions League. Read my comment and you can see that.

The guy I follow on Twitter that's translating the Tweets from the Ajax fans site is an Ajax fan and a United fan, and he's pretty convinced of the veracity of the Tweets because of their previous record; he's talking about signing replacements and making sure Ajax don't lose Viktor Fischer too.

The same Twitter account he's translating for have further Tweeted that there's a "strong chance" it could happen.

If he joined it'd be amazing, but I still can't see it.

RR

The without CL football comment was in relation to next season rather than this one.

If we got 4th this season then I could see him signing, without it (far more probable) then I seriously doubt it.

Yes, I understood. I don't think there's many that think we have a realistic chance at fourth this season.

Eriksen is an excellent player no doubt. But I have my doubts how many people know that much about him.

I have said a number of times that he is within our reach. He is blessed with the reputation where the less people see him play in a big league, but the more people talk about him; the better he becomes.

The same happens with Neymar. Clearly a talented player...but up there with Messi?? Who knows

Eriksen is a grounded 20yr old midfielder that would suit us perfectly. And we would suit his development at this stage. Whether we can keep him if he continues to develop is a very different thing!

I think he'll go to Barca.

Oh by the way, I do watch him play a bit. My sis lives in Amsterdam and my nephew is a big Ajax fan. Fischer is their next big thing, and they seem to understand it's only a matter of time before CE leaves

I used to wonder whether Eriksson's pace would be a hindrance to him in the Premier League but his ball control and quick passing, with dribbling ability would get him out of situations, in my opinion. Looks a really talented player and I think we stand a chance but we really need to progress and show him and any others we wish to sign how much potential we have and how we're going to get there, backed up by actions.

I would love it, however i am a little concerned that all we are going for is attacking midfielders.

The DM position has not been addressed at all. Jose is our only natural left back. Not to forget we are still short on out and out forwards.

posted on 10/2/13

Agreed. We need a dominant DM. We should have signed Sissoko.

Ddfp.....maybe BR has Robinson and the likes of coady lined up for next season?

Which one?

Mo is too injury prone.
