I am convinced we will buy Neil Taylor from Swansea for left back, if he proves his fitness.
Just turned 24, been out injured all season.
Quick, good on the ball, solid defender, knows BR and his methods, can play either full back position and should be relatively cheap with Swansea already having another young left back who has done very well in his injury absence.
This won't excite people, but he is a good solid player.

I'm sure we'll spend money on a left back next season. BR isn't convinced by Enrique and Robinson needs at least a season on loan. With Kelly back I wouldn't mind GJ at left back but he is definitely better at RB.
-----------------------------------------
I hate seeing Johnson on the left, it causes problems for our system in both that he's not creating problems on the right and that he's unable to find the cross or pass in the final third on the left. Defensively he's solid on either side but offensively, I think we lose a lot.
Enrique for me is a good player and Brendan has played him at left back in games when he's been fit, so I don't agree Brendan isn't convinced by him.
Robinson is an exciting prospect, so I feel, unless we got a good club to loan him to, we'd be stunting his progress. Coady has been excellent in the Nextgen so my feelings are the same with him.

I agree he has a great left foot but for me cutting inside isn't what he's best at, although it works when he's shooting. I like how he gets on the outside and is able to cut the ball back for an attacker. I feel he can't do this on the left. I think it's great to use him there when we need him(which again demonstrates we don't need another left back) because he can do a job there but it takes a lot away from the team when he isn't on the right.

But that's only cos we've had a third and fourth choice RB playing when he has been at LB. when Kelly is back, it'll make such a difference.

For me having Enrique and Johnson in their proper positions is better than having both Johnson and Kelly playing in their secondary positions.
he wants to play where coutinho and henderson want to play. you could put coutinho on the left i guess and have a battle between henderson and eriksen for that central attacking role. not sure i'd be spending upwards of £15m on a player that is not a guarenteed starter. great player though eriksen is, i think that money could be better invested in our own third of the field. i.e. centre back and defensive mid.

Eriksson would be a guaranteed starter and the attacking midfielder position is the position we need to fill more than any other.
Even if we don't finish fourth, if we have a strong second half of the season then he'll see that we have the potential to go places, and players like himself signing will only increase the chances of that happening.
