I won't change my mined mirth we were Shiite for most of the game . I thought you know your football ? We couldn't pass wind in the first half .

Just been told that Robins has got a lift back to Huddersfield with Deano & Clibbs.....
Announcement tomz for sure.....

Although why get rid of Lillis, he has injected spirit & belief into the team, after Grayson had sucked the life out of them.....

Same game plan as Cardiff..4 at the back, 2 midfielders in front of back 4...very tight, but Leicester had no idea how to combat it. We did string a few passes together, 26 in one movement although mostly in our own half..

Wasn't a full blooded cup tie, but who cares, we looked solid...gave the ball away a few too many times...Sinnott was main culprit...and I guess Leicester did have 3 or 4 headed chances...

I did warn the Leicester fans, we'd lost to Man City 1-10 and drew them in the cup...it took 3 games to sort that one out....

So, Giants v Wigan on Saturday...then Town v Wigan on Sunday...provided the pitch isn't totally knackered by then...

Admission prices ? This one won't be £10.......

maybe we should sign Robins up, then loan him back for the rest of the season ???

posted on 12/2/13

Agreed Myth,
Leicester beat us at home 2-0, then smashed us at their place.....
Grayson gets the boot.

Lillis comes along. & we hold 'em....against all the odds, as we are on the long end of a horror run..
Then we go to their place & do 'em.
That to me is a major turn around, Not one of us would have believed that could have happened 4 weeks ago after that 4-0 mauling at Watford.

Lillis should have been given to the end of the season at least.

Darn,

Lillis has done a good job as caretaker, but It's a case of beginners luck, same as Gerry Murphy had when he kept stepping in to hold the fort.

So, I'm glad Robins will be taking over because he's done well at all three of his previous clubs and he now has a few years experience under his belt.

Cas, change the article title to leicester 1 Town 2...it will sit there all season then...

where's the Foxy fans ??

Its £10 per ticket according to our site and Wigans

Should be a decent crowd with Robins first game in charge.

I reckon we could get a result as we will be fired up and Wigan may just not fancy the distraction

Fair comment Mirf,
But.
We'll never know now will we.

I hope he gets 'kept on' in some capacity ? seems a shonky way to treat someone if indeed he does get shown the door....Robins would have to keep him on as Academy coach wouldn't he ? or will he be bringing in his own man ?

Just a question about Robins, Does he actually know what it's like on match day at 'our' place ...
Just wondering if the negative urgh's & argh's along with long bouts of silence are familiar to him .

Right.
Sunday !
Do we want Lillis to take the Cup tie, or will Robins be the man !

Mark Robins seems a smart guy he is hardly going to get rid of a coach who appears to be doing a decent job. I reckon he will want to bring his assistant and fitness coach with him as they have been mentioned but no other people.

Robins will be in charge on Sunday I reckon but I suspect that he will have a long chat with Lillis about what has gone right and wrong and then have a training session or two to have a look at players himself.

So would Danns be available or is he cup tied? I couldnt remember if it was just Leicester didnt want him and Beckford to play against them

posted on 12/2/13

We won am happy . But let's not forget we were Shiite tonight . We won that's all happend

posted on 12/2/13

Good point about Danns MB ...
also,
because we play Sunday, Is the Forest fixture still unaffected & as planned for the Tuesday..bit tight that don't ya think....I've never know a team perform on Thursday, then have a fixture on Saturday !
Would it be better to ask/move the Forest game to Wednesday !
That seems a lot fairer to me.

Coventry not happy, only 5 months into a 3 year contract...although it's not a done deal yet...Robins may decide to go home and think about it then get pursuaded to stay on at City...

Nothing would surprise me about this ..
