don't know a lot of him but from what I've read he seems solid enough..... him and Batth alongside each other? especially as this is a "loan with a view to a permanent transfer" and Berra likely off in the summer

about time .. now just another four or five please

Yes, I already mentioned it in the earlier thread.

Let's hope so Tino. Bit of experience, a "natural leader" - would slot in quite nicely next to Batth, and we can get rid of Berra if he wants out anyway. Hopefully Johnson will be off at the same time, the prat.

Best part of the E&S report though

"A left back and a striker are also among his targets."

HaaK
Hopefully Johnson will be off at the same time, the prat.
.....................................................................................
If we want the team spirit back Henry too. judging by yesterdays report.

Totally agree Wolfgang. Plus Davis has the ability to read the game rather than needing to sprint back from 5 yards behind and hack the player down.

Henry says Batth's a future Wolves captain...may be sooner than he thinks

Whats report are you talking about Wolfgang? I too prefer Davis, he's much better on the ball.

cant speak for Wolfgang but........

http://www.expressandstar.com/sport/wolverhampton-wanderers-fc/2013/02/12/wolves-tie-up-loan-signing-of-readings-kaspars-gorkss/

Chief executive Jez Moxey said: “We’re delighted to have completed the signing of Kaspars Gorkss.

“The manager wanted to strengthen the defence and we hope to have done that with Kaspars.

“We hope there will be more signings in the loan window.”

Saunders is already focusing on more loan signings for the survival run-in before the window shuts on March 28.

A left back and a striker are also among his targets.

Anybody willing to throw any names in the hat for left back and striker. Maybe some liverpool connections ??

The real Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos.

I can't even think of any left backs....there seems to be a genuine shortage of left backs world wide.....wish I had a recent footy manager I could look on

If we drop Batth now, im gonna scream.

The original. Cristiano Ronaldo's full name is Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro. He dropped the last bit to ride the Ronaldo wave that had been created by the Brazilian striker.

He should just be Cristiano Aveiro.

Ok , we'll have him then

This is what I mean Bigyam, from yesterdays E&S, where he publicly slags off Sako
...........................................................................

“We’re in this mess and need to get out it.”

Henry believes Bakary Sako was at fault for the penalty that saw Ross McCormack put Leeds ahead from the spot before Danny Batth’s last-gasp equaliser.

“I thought he (Sako) got the wrong side of their player – it was careless,” he said.

“When your full-back is trying to run in front of you, it’s your job to get in front of him and as soon as he gets in front of you, you’re treading on thin ice.

“There was contact and it was always going to be a penalty.” But he added: “We’ve got to keep going and keep believing to pull ourselves out of it.”

Of course Henry never gives away unnecessary fouls.

Obviously what Henry meant to say was, he should have jumped in two footed 10 minutes late about knee high and left the team to play with ten men for the rest of the game.
Or is that a bit harsh.

I think your reading too much into that Wolfgang. I don't have a problem with him saying that the penalty was Sako's fault. Sako was the wrong side of his man, did foul him and will probably hold his hands up. Henry has just stated what happened.

The problem for me in that article was this quote:

'Henry believes Saunders is the right man to turn things around, however.

“The boys like the new manager – he’s a good manager and had we had him at the start of the season we’d be maybe third or fourth from top rather than fourth-from-bottom,” said the skipper.'

Does that mean he didn't like the last manager and that is the reason they played so poorly?

Hurrah, a signing! Not sure what he's like. I can vaguely remember seeing him play for Reading a few years ago when he looked good, but not sure now.

Just glad that we are scouring those powerhouse countries of world football; Mali and Latvia.
