Some idiot posted the linked after the Lords Test stating that Broad had a Once In A Lifetime Game.

He will be a better bowler but not as good batsman.

Doubt he'll be a better bowler.

He doesn't even need to try to be anything other than himself. It's not the first time he has taken a six-fer and he has scored runs often. The lad just needs to continue playing as well as he can and we will see where it all leads to.
I only know one thing, I cry, and i mean physically cry, when fat boy Flintoff gets compared to Botham. What a joke. Broad is already a far better cricket player than fat boy, so I can see why people bring up the comparison with Botham already. Botham is a legend. Broad will get there if he continues but he will still be the first Stuart Broad, and nothing else.

It was the pitch that took the wickets not Broad , hard to say whether England bowlers are really skilled when you play a test match in England.
The conditions are too skewed.

You prefer wickets in the sub continent where players making 50 are considered a failure on those dusty boring wickets? Lets be honest, this has been Stuart Broads day and no matter how much cr ap you post now, nothing can change that

Nevertheless congratulations for the hattrick.

i reckon it will go the other way. let's not forget that sir Ian only averaged 33 with the bat. i think broad is just getting better and better with the bat, and i also think that eventually, he will take up a place in the middle order, and finish his career with an average of 35 or so. with the ball perhaps finishing with 300 wickets @ about 32

i think he would be a better player if he had a bigger bat.

ahh god love the anti england brigade - india are still in the box seat but already this lot are getting at the england team as if in preparation for a defeat.

Lets forget Dravids brilliant hundred in difficult conditions or Indias bowling in the 1st innings, instead complain about the conditions and have a go at Broad

If you want to be a top class alrounder you should be batting at 6 when the pressures on,Broad at 8-9 as no pressure and can fling the bat,if Broad continues to score runs in this series its time for him to step up to the plate and bat at 6 and drop Morgan.

You dont think the pressure was on Broad 2 days ago. England were 122 -8? The man is magic and has always been a top class allrounder. Our future looks good because of young lads like him?

one off situation when he made a score at 122-8,when lower order batsmen come in at that stage they throw bat and so they should, imn not slating Broad he"s a good cricketer coming off a bad spell of form all imn saying is if the managment thought he was a top alrounder he"d be batting at 6 and when England play lesser sides in the future they should throw him up the order which would give the side more bowling options as well.

Sorry Bobby but I am not sure why you think we need to move him so that he can prove himself and be an all time great, Where he is now is exactly where I want to see him. After Prior, we find a man who can bat or we hope that Morgan finds some form and the allrounders we have after that keep doing what they are doing, Broad, Swann, Bresnan. Happy Days?

posted on 31/7/11

Look Makrsi real allrounders were Botham,Khan.Hadlee,Dev for you to suggest Swann and Bresnan are top allrounders is a farce, there bowlers who have the odd good knock, the current state of test cricket is a joke, there"s hardly a good bowling attack out there.

what is the score in the cricket?

You are far too negative for me Bobby so we will just have to agree to disagree. I can see the headlines already, England are the best team in the world so the standard of world cricket has dropped? Sorry mate, utter hollocks. England are scoring double centuries, and taking hattricks. We are the real deal. As for Broad, the selectors have placed him exactly where he should be. We bat long, and bowl beautifully and have a keeper who scores for fun.

posted on 31/7/11

Not negative at all Mak the current state of test cricket is poor, and personally imn glad that England are top off the tree and long may it continue! But when England play abroad on flatter pitches having 5 bowlers and more options to bowl sides out twice is the way and if Broad continues is current form than the number 6 spot will allow these options.

so negative bobby. Why do you want to see bobby gould in a coffin he's great

Bobby, those allrounders you mentioned earlier are without doubt living legends. If Broad gets anywhere near that level then we are going to have some good years I understand that you want to see him in "that" proper allrounder position, but imagine if we find great number six and seven bats and then have people like him coming in. We are going to take some beating with a batting line up that is that long, and they can all bowl

posted on 31/7/11

Ha Ha Andy you probably didnt no this but Bobby Gould was one of the worse managers my team Wet Brom ever had,and obviously cause he was that bad the fans built a coffin put is name on top and paraded it on the pitch and driving home the other day i couldnt believe the clown was on the radio and i nearly crashed the car and ended in a coffin myself, how talksport can employ him is beyond belief they must be desperate!

Bobby, our first allrounder Bresnan has smashed this Indian attack all over the park in very quick time. Broad and Swann have not come in yet. You see what i mean don't you? These boys are class. When Bresnan came in we had just lost 3 wickets, so his innings was again, under a little pressure. No excuses, it's our time.
