Aguero saga

I read the comments in the People and Forlans right about aguero being better suited to your teams style of play.Ironic he"s gone to the divs for the money but pleased Diago still says he"s a United fan after the nightmare he had at OT.

We pulled out of a potential deal for Aguero a year or 2 ago because of his stupidly high wage demands. Giving in to these demands would have caused nothing but problems in our squad because then other star players want to be equal to him and the wage bill gets ridiculous.. Shame though because he could have been a top player for us.

he is a world class no question. i just feel sorry 4 him.i do understand a man city as well.if city want to get a top class player thye have to pay extra monye to get them.of course players like toure wouldnt join rainy manchaster if he could play regulary in barca for the same monye like in manchester.

Good point. I think Aguero would have been a Chelsea player two years ago if he hadn´t demanded 200,000 per week wages.

Man City are now finding out to their cost that having a 200,000 per week player in the squad is very disruptive as there are reports of several Man City players demanding a wage rise in light of the news of Aguero´s wages.

Well Torres is on 180k/week. Not much difference when you consider his transfer fee was 10M higher than Kun's

well are you surprise.it was always going to end like that.we had a simular problem if you can rememer. first lampy was thinking to join inter milan so we raise his salary to 150 grand p/w then terry wanted more becouze he is a captain and if we didnt offer him then he would end up in city/40 mil saga few years ago/.terry got his pay rise.nxt one was drogba and cole.thats what happen when you dont have a salary in the club.for this reason i do respect arsenal or totenham system of wages.we should folow this rules as well.we are good top club so if someone want to play for us then this should be higher motivation then cash. look in fabregas/he lower his wage demand to move the club of his dream/.that the kind of players we need.

about torres.he was already on 120 grand p/w so 50 grand rise didnt make any big impact for him. aguero was around 50-80 grand p/w so to get 200 grand net p/w is big different.

Torres is a household name and world star with a World Cup and Euro Championship Winners medal to his name.

Aguero is not that well known outside of La Liga and while he has shown plenty of promise at Atletico Madrid he has yet to prove himself on the world stage or in the latter stages of the Champions League.

But Aguero is better than Torres currently... I'd ether but a player based on their pitch performances than how many shirts they would sell. Otherwise why don't we just go for Beckham?

I don´t know if you can say that Aguero is better than Torres. Aguero has a lot to prove before he can be compared to Torres in my opinion.

The point is that Torres received a partial wage rise to join Chelsea whereas Aguero has now trebled if not quadrupled the wages he was getting at Ateltico.

Big difference.

The 200,000 per week that Aguero is being paid is a big risk for Man City as we´ve seen plenty of the very best South American players not succeed in the Premiership.

Well he's in better form. I'm happy Torres is looking better but I'm not going to lie, i would prefer Aguero right now

Time will tell although you have to remember that many big name South American players have failed to shine in the Premiership.

I suspect that Aguero will do well in English football but if he doesn´t start well then questions will be asked about his 200,000 per week wages and the pressure will mount.

You only have to look at how insignificant Dzecko was after his big money move to City last season.

Torres had a poor season last season but when you are as good a player as Torres is you will come good sooner or later.

I spoke recently to a lifelong Liverpool fan (who hates Chelsea) and he was convinced that Torres will come good at Chelsea.

i think torres will score an average of a goal in 2 matches next season

Forlan-
The People magazine writes I told about Kun to them. I've NEVER spoken to anyone of this magazine. it's FALSE
I don't speak about the other people. I only speak about my decisions

All this talk about how we can't afford Aguero's wages is absolute rubbish,we can definitely afford It If we had pushed for him this summer.
The fact is in the past years when we after Aguero he wanted to STAY at Atletico and Atletico wanted to keep him so It was no go already.Chelsea put in a bid of £40mil for Aguero in January but at the time he didn't want to move. But this summer is different he wanted to leave and Atletico wanted to sell but we were not interested in signing him so we lost out.
