the last 50 odd minutes were totally lacking any fight never mind any quality or actual thought.. from 2-1 down they just wanted it to end.. so did we...
in truth if the players had been offered a defeat by one goal they would have taken it and trooped off the pitch..

i saw us lose 10-1 and 7-1 and this season the two very big defeats were much, much worse than those in performance and effort ...

Chin up lads, we gave it a go last year, if we hadn't conceded 6 at Forest & Leicester, 8 at Wolves and 16 at home to Peterborough then we'd have stayed up on goal difference. So nearly a successful season

So, how will the new signings fit in? Delighted to have secured the services of Alan Lee for another 2 years and I can see him linking up well with Tresor Kandol. Hopefully they can grab 10 between them this season and our target of 21st place should be a doddle. Midfield looks solid, enticing Paul Gascoigne out of retirement to come here may have its doubters but its a brilliant gesture from our new Geordie hero to be paid his wages in KFC vouchers and gin. Could be the coup of the season.

Defence may take a while to settle in and whilst the signings of Tinky Winky, Laa Laa, Dipsy and South Korean U19 international, Po, haven't exactly set tongues wagging, we still have plenty of money left over from Peter Clarke's switch to Barcelona so we can always strengthen further. Maybe Murray Wallace will get a game this year?? Only joking

So......Cheltenham. Their £15,000 transfer budget pretty much stops us from competing on a level playing field and its time the FA took action. I hate how these new-money clubs are ruining the game
