wenger on £8m a year to lose games to Brighton and GT is feeling sorry for him
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I dont feel sorry for him. We all knew that his retirement is near.
Wenger is big enough and rich enough to easily withstand fan unrest, protests and banners.
What he isn't capable of deflecting is if that protest projects itself in the stadium. Empty seats are a very clear sign of unanimous discord in the fanbase. This isn't just a few bunch of trolls we're talking about. This is loyal match going fans. And when they protest by not turning up, even a teflon don like Wenger can't take that without it damaging him.
It's all out now. We all need to move on and hope that Gaizidis does his job in chosing the right man. Lets support the team and the players now.
Every proper goober wants to move on. But as Peebs pointed out, CEG and quite a few others want to keep on dragging the point that the "ungrateful" fanbase pushed Wenger out.
Well you know what? Good. I really hope Wenger was pushed out because of the fans. Good to know us match going fans aren't going to be pushed around by the club elite and their flock of lemming fans.
Wenger should have gone years ago. Only shame in this is he didn't have shame to admit it back then, and we effectively wasted a few years dragging it out just so that Wenger didn't get upset.

So why do we dabate WOBS and AKB here? I am ready to support a new manager (apart from Mou) and support the players. Let's stop to speculate for Wenger's reason to leave at the end of this season.
Move on. I am ready for a new beginning. All ingredience to be successful are here.

"So why do we dabate WOBS and AKB here?"
Cos some Goobers obviously don't want to move on Geets. They're on their period or on a period of mourning and they're lashing out.
Apparently we're a terrible fanbase for wanting out a manager who's been at the club for 22 years despite clearly being ineffective for 10 years of that period.
It's a bit like the remainers whinging at the Brexiters.

We have great fans. Fans that spend thousands going to games every season. Fans that think the club is going in the wrong direction and are actually willing to do something about it, unlike those that prefer to sit on the fence.
I don't really understand what your definition of a bad fan is. Is it those who criticize the management and board for their failings?
Geets mate, i don't want to go personal here. But this talk of bad fans is pretty rich from a bloke who sits all the way in Hamburg and who hasn't spent more than a £25 red membership gives it large over fans who spend hundreds of pounds and travel hundreds of miles just to watch a facking football team (yes i am talking about Peebs here).
Fans protesting about the management/board are not bad fans.

Did i say that? I said foreign fans who don't attend games (even though they obviously can) criticizing those fans who do go to games just because they protest against the establishment are plastics.
And don't tell me you can't attend games Geets. You can. You just choose not to.
Peebs actually lives further away from the Emirates than you do and he still stacks up about 2-3 games a season.

Wenger is trying to portray his leaving as personal. It wasn't. The fanbase just got sick of him & his excuses. They want a change.
