What L? Wenger admitted it. Thats why he wants to keep on managing elsewhere.
Hilarious how Mourinho and Fergie honouring him embarrassed him so much. I can imagine Wenger saying, "eeeeh ze what is this, I am not retiring."

PSG don't want him for coaching. They want him as a general manager ie director of football. Something he swore he would never do. Oh Wengy. Always misreading his situation.
Wenger is going to take the French national job. Told you all this back in July.

In any case, who the fack cares what big Wengy is going to do. He's leaving. That's all i care about.
What if France get to the semi-finals or win it? Can't see them sacking Deschamps.

So he's my theory. Wenger was going to call it quits anyway. He wanted to leave at end of last season but this club was a joke and hadn't set up a system for when he leaves. And when i mean club, i mean Kroenke. Gazidis has wanted him out for years.
So Wenger agrees to a "2 year" extension which really only meant 1 year but another years goodwill payoff. The club starts to form a structure beginning with a new DoF, and recruitment system and contracts etc.
Anyway, they didn't foresee Conte wanting out so soon and thus Chelsea wanting Allegri became a bigger possibility. Arsenal needed to make a move and so Wenger agreed to announce the decision sooner than agreed.
