Sources have suggested Chido Obi-Martin could make his debut before the end of the campaign. That was ostensibly one of his demands if he had stayed at Arsenal. Seven goals in seven youth team games for United would suggest he has a chance with Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund out of their depth.

Is that for U21 or U18?
Nwaneri was well established for the U21 before he broke into the 1st team

Think this is one we will end up regretting in a few years time

Chido will probably debut in a Europa dead rubber if they win next game. The sort of thing Micky Artz refused to do.

We have got what 5 or 6 players fit who can play left back but relying on Timber to occupy the right back position on his own as their isn't really any cover in that area besides flogging Partey there.

According to picture on instagram he is in the mountain.

Don't think Chido is going to be anything special, he's dominating youth leagues because of his size but won't have that advantage in the future

To get millions you have to showcase the player and that would have meant promising him more first team football. And I don't think that should have been an issue with Eddie leaving. There was obviously a breakdown in communication between Edu, Per and Arteta.

I think Utd just offered him more money

Also plenty of clubs have gotten millions for players they haven't really showcased

I believe he turned down more money from German clubs, which kinda puts shade on Mertesacker's assessment. (my point at the time)

Per has to decide if the player is worth a new contract at youth level. A new contract only becomes a fail if the player doesn't progress, otherwise any transfer fee (or better still promotion to the first team) will always be more than the total expense of the contract.

(I don't mean those underhanded PSR deals between newcastle/chelsea/villa)

German clubs dont pay silly money for an unknown youngster like United. There may be interest from German clubs in Chido but there werent strong.
