So Edu only trusts Arteta's word on players and not Mertesacker? At the time Eddie was blocking Chido's path to the first team!

Arteta is the main man at Arsenal.

So should Mertesacker be fired if Chido does well? For not convincing Arteta to try him? or worse if Mertseacker didnt think he was good enough?

I have no intern information. Many reasons could be in force how to handle the wage structure among the youngsters

The point is if Chido develops Arsenal will lose millions. Whoever made that decision should be fired if he develops.

And to stop mistakes in the future the new director of football has to take better control of the academy. It shouldn't need the player getting to the first team for Arteta to assess for working out if a youth player is good or not.

Arteta is also to blame for not blooding youngsters sooner, Chido isn't the only one that has left.

But in this case, I really doubt Arteta could have assessed Chido. His pathway was blocked by Eddie but if Arteta was considering selling Eddie anyway that pathway for Chido was there and Arsenal should have offered him more to stay. Then if he didn't develop, what did Arsenal lose?

We are in a very similar situation with Heaven. If Arteta has decided to sell Tomiyasu and Kiwior we should do our best to keep Heaven.

He is better than Kiwior and imo will make a better backup to Gabriel eventually.

Timber is a shoe in for PL team of the year for me.

Apparently a sickness bug has gone around some of the players 🙄 FFS, can we just stop with all this bad luck

Is that time of the year, the club should have players on lockdown mode
