Bloke was a yard behind the man when he deflected the header to his hand. You cannot tell me that was deliberate hand ball.

Perisic was LITERALLY one yard behind Matuidi when he made contact. Are you seriously going to tell me that he meant to deliberately handball the ball when we was jumping for a header with the ball travelling at some speed AND getting deflected off Matuidi??

The only thing you could say was that if Perisic didn't ACCIDENTLY touch the ball, the deflected header from Matuidi might have gone to a dangerous area.


But all that is irrelevant. Perisic didn't deliberately handball it. If he did, that's some seriously impressive reactions he's got.

Yep. Ball was aiming for Perisic's mid drift otherwise.

If he went to deliberately handball the corner, and then the tiniest deflection that didn't significantly alter the flight of the ball occurred. Is it no longer deliberate?

If anything he was trying to get it back down to a more "natural" position. Was never an act of deliberate handball.
