The guy was voted with the votes of the fachist AFD man Höcke. All parties had ruled out to vote with the AFD before.

We are allowed to call Höcke fachist in public. A court allowed that.

He flopped completely in Dortmund and moaned an whihned his way back to Italy. He refuse to take german lessons. More off field problems which showed on the field.

Mertesacker was a good player for us. His and Koscielny's partnership was quite underrated imo.

Just watch the video you posted and the runs made by the strikers on him.

We haven't had a good CB since Gallas left us. And even in those days our fill-ins were Senderos and Djourou because Vermealen was always injured.

I know he was slow, but he gets too much disrespect at times. He was crucial in winning those 3 FA Cups.

We were lucky with draws in a lot of those wins. But fair enough he was steady in a statue sort of a way and if had a better striker I am sure we would have had a league title as well.

J99, come on. Koscielny, for the most part, was a good defender for us. His performances in his last 18 months declined, but he had aged and he had a well-documented achilles injury he was playing through.

He and Mertesacker struck up a very good CB partnership. Neither of them were world-class, but they were both good players for us and put in some memorable displays.

I will agree though that we've not had much success with finding quality CBs.

I thought Holding would be one, but his setbacks are becoming a real concern now.
