Sokratis only has a year left which makes moving him easier. I expect Mustafi to stay for at least one more season and then go on loan to some German club with us part paying wages. Despite being being just as bad I expect Kola to stay as backup to Tierney. Holding could go on loan. Chambers won't be playable for 12 months more. Mari will probably be first choice. Luiz as backup. Saliba could be phased into the team with Mustafi starting initially.

If Mustafi's contract is also ending 2021 would make life easier. We could shift Sokratis and Mustafi in the summer. Will have to bring in a CB then. Of those going down only Mings looks any good. Stones wages is another £5m a season.

Actually wanted him to replace Gibbs years ago when he was at Ipswich. He is a cool dude under pressure. And distribution is ok. We haven't had two left footed CBs in the squad for years. Even with Vermalen (who was always injured)! It adds a lot of balance going forward.

Thats why I said it depends on the formation Arteta wants to play next season. If he wants an option to 3-5-2 then I think Holding will stay rather than go on loan.
I think Arteta hasnt got a steel made formation. He will change style depending on opponents.
If Torreira, Maitland-Niles, Sokratis, one of Chambers/Holding and Guendouzi leave this Summer, we should get a decent wedge of money from that lot.
