Pair him with a decent holding player and you have the makings of a good central midfield.

Personally think this should have been incentivised somehow- you can use 5 subs if 2 of them are from your academy / qualify for the homegrown rule, for instance. So more a 3+2 than a 5.

Yeah agree.

The way it stands I can see the likes of City and United stockpiling even more players in a few years time.

Before you know it, it'll become the norm, and then players won't even be judged on how good their all round game is. Just whether they can impact a game.

Walcott, for example, was born 10 years too soon.

Not being racist. But African agents work like that. He could be just trying to get more money out of us. We'll need more than one holding player if Maitland-Niles and Gwen go. Torriera hasn't been first choice for Arteta either.
