Vulnerable to the high press?
Being fast tracked to the first team then.
U23 youngsters watching to much first team football.
Ex-Hale End lad bagged his hat trick too.
We are total banter. From academy. To first team. To board. To owners.
Thank fack for the ladies.
We lose every challenge in midfield.Hardly can keep the ball at our feet for a second. We havent seen the West Ham box the whole second half.
6-0

Turned off at 5.
This bloke in charge now was some up and coming big deal in the England set up?
Worse performance than any I watched last season.
Edu’s done it again.

LOL this is actually shocking football. they are playing like the first team

People have to stop comparing the way Arsenal are run to how Chelsea and City are run btw.
As we all know, when we moved to the Emirates it was with the intention that the increased capacity would put us firmly in the upper echelons of European football.
Then Roman arrived, and blew that plan to sh/t.
He spent and spent and spent on that club, and in the process wasted tonnes of money - much to great hilarity. Then, unfortunately, through sheer volume of money spent, it started to click.
Same thing at City - one of the main contributors to paying off our stadium debt in the early years - though to an even greater extent.
Chelsea though in particular then started spending big on their academy, which again in turn heaped further financial pressure on clubs that had previously tried to compete with them through their own academies, who now found themselves having to offer increasingly ridiculous sums to players that weren't even guaranteed to make it into the first team.
Chelsea started buying more and more highly rated youth players from all over Europe, sending more and more out on loan. And those players are now of an age where, even if they're not going to make it at Chelsea, they are valuable assets that are bringing in money to the club.
So yeah, Roman has played a blinder. But all the while Chelsea have been pushing forward, we've had the triple anvil round our neck firstly from the stadium debt, then the KSE / Usmanov stand-off, followed finally, and most damagingly, by the feckless sole ownership of Stan and Josh.
Of course we're still having to spend a tonne of money to stand still, whilst they're barely having to open Roman's pig bank to compete for titles.

Official then.
I'm glad they used a picture of him limply clapping the away fans, whilst pretending to look sad after leading his team to a pathetic 2:0 mauling away to the mighty Brentford.

A lot of media reports that's it's actually a mutual triggering of an additional clause, from his last contract, to 2024. No payrise, just additional year. There's a further year that can be triggered, to 2025
Protecting the player's value, whilst the club's value nosedives
TBH, don't mind the additional year. Stops the likes of Roma making mugs of us (cos we're doing a good job to ourselves) and pRoTeCtS xHaKa'S vAlUe for next summer when, hopefully, Italian market will pick up a bit.
Massive downside is, obvs, we keep an average player without strengthening the side.
