Pepe would be horrible up front.

Martinelli is the one who needs to move to CF. Sick of seeing him so wide.

Look at the strikers we have been linked with. Apart from Isak who can do both, others have been big and tall. Martinelli doesn't really fit that profile.

I try not be judgemental about young players hoping for their breakthrough until they get to 24-26. I think Eddie is very limited but he does have natural goal scoring instincts which is why I call him a potential Andy Cole. There is a reason why Arteta, Palace, Newcastle and West Ham want him. Personally I think he has a long way to develop to be able to play at a top club.

Yeah. And its not ideal, which is why Arteta hasn't already handed him a new contract.

Laca is far stronger on the ball than Martinelli. So if fit I think Laca starts CF.

I know, but martinelli excels in other areas. It'll take a while to get adjusted, but he's good enough to do it.

Teams have figured laca out now. They're just doubling up in the wings because they know laca provides fook all threat.

I wish Arteta would play the ball on the ground more in the final third rather than always reverting to crosses. Martinelli would suit that. I remember that game when he first shone, with Willock, Saka, Nelson against Leige (?). But everything we do these days seems to be from wide so the striker ie always back to goal against a big CB.

He will when partey and Xhaka are back.
