As usual a local newspaper reporter. Stuff we didn't know.

1) Only bailed till Aug.

2) Not charged.

3) First time I have read that the club has had to defend itself. That leads to questions of what they were accused of?

I thought they are defending themselves because people said he should be suspended until it's cleared up.

I read that The Athletic put an article out saying something along those lines, and why the club in question had not reprimanded the player like what happened to Greenwood

The bit about of 'safeguarding' is a bit suspicious. I have never heard of that being used for an accused. Its usually used for a victim.

The responsibilities and policies mentioned will be towards the club's staff, not the accused.

Right! I felt the same. So why would the staff need to be protected in relation to the accused?
