Wanyama is a good player. A solid beast. Cannot believe he'll go to a club like Southampton. This is why the Barry rumour is fecking frustrating. Ok, i can understand Barry is probably third choice. But why, when you have players like Strootman and Wanyama around? Barry shouldn't even be an option.

Yeah just seems bizarre to me. Wanyama was apparently wanted by Arsenal, United, Chelsea and so on. Why is he ending up at Southampton?

Our squad is so lacking in depth and quality that we cannot afford to sit back and take it easy. We should have gone for our targets early and secured them or get a decision either way. Now we're faffing about on our striker options.

Every day the window goes by without us making a move, i don't get angry. I'm way beyond angry now. I get more and more numb. Numb at the prospect at another appaulling season with this appaulling manager.

Worst thing is, We have shipped out all the dross (mostly) and have brought in ONE player to replace them

We need a lot more than 2 signings mate. We need decent squad depth and rotation as well

The sad thing is, we're actually celebrating at getting rid of our deadwood, in the hope and expectation that Wenger has finally changed his ways. He hasn't. It just looks like he will replace one set of useless, overpaid dross with another.

Mate i would happily eat my words (i'll eat anything right now actually...) if this happens, but i just cannot see it. Why on earth are we stalling now? What is stopping Higuain from coming over? It's all smokes and mirrors. A big PR stunt to make Wenger and Gazidis look genuine.

Barry would be a good signing

I think we need 2 top class signings. A solid replacement for Vieira, 8 years after he left, and a "super top quality" striker.

After this, I would say we should sign a quality winger to replace Gervinho, and then any replacements needed for Verm

I can only assume the Higgy deal was held up by the management change, and perhaps CA has decided there is no point selling him, or won't sell him until we sign a replacement

Barry would be an awful signing. Not only is he lacking in quality, but he's not a stellar name that'll liven up the crowd. Our squad might be capable of competing for trophies, but our mental state blocks it. A stellar name would not only give us quality on the pitch, but a belief that we could do it.

For us to compete for the title we need serious quality. I'm not including Rooney or Suarez. Those are pathetic rumours.

1. Top class finisher: Higuain fits the bill perfectly.
2. Top class forward: Jovetic. Him and Higs could be brilliant.
3. Top class attacking midfielder: Cesc.
4. Top class midfielder: Felliani. The perfect man for how Wenger likes to play football.
5. Solid young CB: Don't know any, but someone young and able to play his fair share of 1st team football.
6. GK: Cesar was perfect. Not that better than Szczesny and not young.

It all depends on Real. If Real come in for him, then fine he'll definitely go there. If PSG come in , he'll probably go there.

However, if neither of these clubs do, why the hell not? The golden rule for clubs is don't keep an unhappy player on your books. £37m should do the trick.
