Hope we get revenge on Newcastle and beat them away.

They was no real threat from them, they put 10 men behind the ball, we just couldn't break them down.

I thought we could've moved the ball a but faster though, we were a bit too slow

I still have a soft spot for Willock so I'm happy he is in a team that is going well and plays a big part of it.
But after that, feck Newcastle.

Weird snobbery on this thread Not sure why Newcastle would turn up to an away game at the league leaders and play open letting us cut them apart

Overall was a bit disappointed how easy we made it for them to do that but we don't have the same cutting edge with Eddie instead of GJ.

Chelsea will pay whatever Shakhtar want. Doing the same thing they did with Raphinha.

Last night was a frustrating game but we still coped very well with Newcastle’s physicality. Didn’t get any suspensions and didn’t give away any big chances (apart from the corner before HT).

The 5 minutes added on was a complete disgrace but I was relieved at the time because I’ve seen so many games pan out like this with the opposition getting an undeserved goal at the end, thankfully we didn’t let that happen.

4 points from Spurs and United makes it a very successful winter period for us. I think most people would have taken 8/12 when we had come back from the WC.

Looks like it but players wants Arsenal. That is the difference.

The handball was not a pen but it’s one of those that VAR wouldn’t have overturned if it was given. That is the luck the likes of City and Liverpool have got in the past with dodgy ref decisions that we could have used with last night but that ref gave us nothing

I agree with you on the handball to be honest. If we were on the other side of it we would be angry if that would be given.

The Gabriel incident was a clear pen though.

Chelsea are having real problems completing the deal for Enzo Fernandez which is costing them £115m because of FFP. They are trying to pay in instalments and Benfica aren't having it.

So the idea they give another £87m fee for Mudryk is nonsense.

Either Chelsea don't want Fernandez (rumours of which are coming from far better sources) or the entire Chelsea rumour is made up by Shaktar to get us to pay more.

It's not just big incidents that are frustrating about refereeing and discourse around it

Game management by refs can be appalling as it was last night, he started off very lenient and then totally lost the plot after carded Newcastle twice quickly. The Eddie yellow was ridiculous and he last control of the game soon after

Poor performance last night - was more interested in the darts given how badly we played.

Handball wasn’t a pen. Gabriel probs should have had one but you can’t rely on pens being given in pen box scrambles.

City will be buoyed now.

Yep the handball is one that can be given as it has been before. It's one of them that we would have been disappointed if that was given against us but we don't really seem to get these sort of decisions and refs seem reluctant to give us penalties.

The first one on Gabriel however was such a blatant foul and a clear penalty.

Hello Chris
How is it snobbery?
I haven't watched much of Newcastle but seen they have scored a lot of goals so I expected a bit more from them, it was the consistent fouls and stoppages that annoyed me most.

We didn't play that bad, no player was below a 6.
I think if we had a few options from the bench, it would've got us over the line.

It's frustration rather than snobbery, if Newcastle were not owned by the Saudi's and were in the bottom half of the table it might be

I also expect a bit more from Newcastle. But they came for a draw in the first place and their game plan came off.
